Asciidoc assumes UTf-8 encoded files per default. At least the user guide says that. Using the --attibute=encoding=iso-8859-15 or the :enconding: attribute in the document just works[tm]. cheers --lars ___ Asciidoc-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://metaperl.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/asciidoc-discuss
Re: [asciidoc-discuss] german umlauts
Hello, I may have similar problem. My source text in czech language is in utf-8 encoding. Output into xhtml is fine and accented characters are correct, pdf output on the other hand has not correct accented chars - it has '#' char in place of characters that don't belong latin-1. It seems that problem is in fonts rather than in encoding. I have never worked with docbook and fop but I suspect that this part of chain needs some tweaking. I couldn't find anything in the User Guide. of course it is! What exactly did you try? I usually convert my utf-8(!) encoded german textfiles with the a2x wrapper to the output formats xhtml and pdf. Please check your environment and the encoding of your textfiles. [asciidoc-discuss] german umlauts
Hi, i just played around with asciidoc and stumbled about german umlauts like 'ä', 'ü' and such. Is it possible with asciidoc to generate these in pdf and xhtml output? I couldn't find anything in the User Guide. thanks --lars ___ Asciidoc-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://metaperl.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/asciidoc-discuss
