I am interested in your remark about ECN. (I am the ISO Rapporteur for
ASN.1).  I am sure you are aware that the ECN work was very much
expedited because of a possible application in 3GPP, and that most of
the extensibility support has been designed with full consideration of
the 3GPP extensibility encodings, and with the strong desire for ECN to
provide such encodings with "clean" and simple ASN.1.

However, my impression is that, due to the increased pressures to
finalize 3GPP, ECN will not be used in those specifications.  I hope I
am wrong! Would you care to comment?
