What is this AXX? Axom Xahitya Xabha? It should be either Assam Sahitya Sabha (ASS) or Oxom Xahitya Xobha (OXX) - if one is sensitive about it, that is.
If one is so particular about the right pronounciation of all the 'xo's etc., isn't it strange that the readily available 'O' is not being used for OXOM and still 'A' is being used for the Assamese vowel "O" by them, and OXOM is still written as "AXOM"? How is that the right pronounciation for "OXOM"? Come to think of it, if one 'X' can represent all 3 'xo's, why not 'S' represent everything like before, including all the 'xo's and the 'prothom So', 'Dityo So', etc., like it has been all these years? Personally I like to write that "X" for all the 'Xo's though! and we'll use whatever is convenient and acceptable. :) So, this would be just for the ones to do some more 'mur-ghomuwa kaam', who are creating all these hullaballoo about the pronounciation of these 'xo's. As long as it is sincerely for the language, and not a "competition" amongst the 'not so famous' of becoming famous :) alone, it would be worth their while. --ABS.
