Summary Remote crash vulnerability with MESSAGE messages
Nature of Advisory Denial Of Service
The Asterisk Development Team would like to announce security releases for
Asterisk 13, 15 and 16, and Certified Asterisk 13.21. The available releases are
released as versions 13.27.1, 15.7.3, 16.4.1 and 13.21-cert4.
These releases are available for immediate download at
A crash is never working as intended, so I'd say file a bug report
please [1]. Be sure to get a backtrace [2] and attach it to the issue.
A debug Asterisk log [3] at startup could be helpful as well.

Asterisk seems to crash consistently on startup if you don't explicitly
define "dbfile => ... " in res_config_sqlite3.conf. (Not having the
config file at all is fine).
