Hello,
where can I place an Asterisk 1.6.2 backtrace taken from a core dump file ?
The file is to big to pass to this mailing list (it exceeds the maximum
kb).
Kind regards,
Jonas.

contrib/realtime/ directory talks about sip peer/client parameters not general
section(sip.conf) parameters like bindaddr, bindport, domain, realm, qualify

AFAIK, those setting need to be configured in the sip.conf which will
still be parsed and acted upon even if you're using RTA

Hi,
is it possible to get the SIP IP address of the remote (calling) party,
in the dialplan or (preferrably) in an AGI script?
(This sounded like a rather basic question to me, but I could not find
an answer...)
TIA regards

Hi All;
First of all, I am trying to install vicidial and actually vicidial requires
asterisk 1.4 and can not work with asterisk 1.8, in addition there is a special
version of asterisk 1.4 that is required for vicidial which is
asterisk-1.4.39.1-vici.
The problem that it look like there is a

Hello,
what does it mean when you read in the backtrace file :

Loaded symbols for /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1
Core was generated by `/usr/sbin/asterisk -f -vvvg -c'.

Hello,
is this an answer or is the most of your answer missing ?
I don't understand what you mean and I still don't understand what
happened with Asterisk.
Kind regards,
Jonas.

That would be his answer. If you type kill -l, you'll get a listing of signals:
kill -l
1) SIGHUP 2) SIGINT 3) SIGQUIT 4) SIGILL 5) SIGTRAP
6) SIGABRT
6 would be signal abort.

To give a more verbose answer, the line in the backtrace that says no
debugging symbols found answers the rest of your question: It's not
possible to tell where the signal comes from, because asterisk was built
without debugging symbols. This is not a proper backtrace in that it
doesn't trace back
Hi All;
I installed Asterisk 1.8.11-cert1, and it look like the default is ulaw for the
