Thanks once again to past core contributor Ben Langfeld and welcome to new
contributor Lance Gleason. Thanks also to IfByPhone for sponsoring several of
the improvements (especially Text-to-Speech).

the Dial() string, but the AGI script is not setting OUTBOUND correctly. In
both cases you illustrate (the Noop and the Set) the variable isn't making it
from PHP to AGI. Check your PHP script to make sure the data is what you think
it is.

Some of that may require specifying arguments and/or using a polling method
other than SNMP. I realize those may be more complex than you intend to
implement, but you asked :)

Incidentally I use kiax all the time with no strange music sources

All,
I am posting this here to announce I have finally managed to get my
Cisco IAD2421 to speak MGCP with Asterisk. Due to an acute lack of
reading on the subject as searched on Google, I'm putting this out with
the hope that it helps whomever should need to do this in the future.
This should
to expand to a lot of branches, with a
centralized configuration and easy redundancy.
Yep! My design has solved this problem and has been stable for over a
year. Its met my goals pretty well.
Answers would be greatly appreciated!
Good luck on your project!
