Have either of you any experience integrating Asterisk-related devices into existing phone equipment (trunks/pots lines, etc. (I'm somewhat new to legacy voip based telephony)) to ensure
specific or random outbound calls route through Asterisk vs bell company (ATT)? Thanks in advance,Dakota

Does the above sound like a fairly sound system to provide VoIP hosting? Anything seem like overkill, or anything you think should be added? Thanks in advance,Dakota

I would like to setup Asterisk as
follows:
When users make inter-office calls they can dial
the extensions, however if they want to make an external call, that they enter a
code on their phone, before they external call can go through.
We would like to give each user an access code,

I have an Asterisk installation, however whever someone calls into it, they
hear it ring two times, before the Auto Attendant comes on.
Is there a way to get the system to answer on the first ring?

After installing Asterisk, the first thing you'll
need to do is add an extension.
In the process of adding the extension, you can
activate whether you want that extension to have voicemail or not.

How does Asterisk compare to Nortel, NorthStar and Mitel PBX systems?
For a medium size company not growing past 75 extensions, would you
recommend Asterisk?
