looking for a way to have several FXS ports on an asterisk box, lets say
oh... 300, just for shoots and giggles. would i need special telco
equipment? if so, what kind? i already have a 23 inch cabinet, which i'm
told telco equipment uses 23 inch. any insight on this would be greatly
i have a simple question, why are you switching to an ip solution? does
your exsisting telephone network work for your company? if so, why not
just use asterisk to provide your exsisting network with calls, that way
you can continue to use your exsisting hardware, and still use asterisk.

toggle an entry in a sql database, then have the dialplan act on the entry
which phone(s) to ring.
