I had the same problem in a welding lab. I did this on a 3Com NBX, but I'm sure that the same idea would apply to Asterisk: I went to RadioShack, and bought one of their visual ringers, for the hearing impaired (basically flashes a white strobe light, and sounds a really loud ringer), and
