I am revising this issue again because I am looking to upgrade to the latest
1.4 Asterisk. When I recompiled, I again, lost my conference rooms because
the chan_zap was not available in the make menuconfig.
Can anyone help me so I can easily upgrade this PBX? I'd hate to have to

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I can't get MeetMe to
work with GSM codec (Asterisk 1.6.1 SVN r190371).
My config files below:
sip.conf:

it should work just fine; do you have the GSM codec compiled/loaded
core show modules like codec_gsm ... ?
OR that particular version has a BUG...

these packages are source packages downloaded direct from Digium. Maybe
that was the problem. I tried installing both (at one point I tried
upgrading the GUI and I remember seeing something mentioning that the new
GUI needed dahdi. I haven't yet upgraded the gui, but I guess it's
pointless now

I did rebuild zaptel. No zaptel cards in the system - using ztdummy.

from 1.4.23.1 and I got my conference rooms back. It seems in the make
