to pass calls with g729 codec. isn't it true?

Hi,
no you don't need just allow g729 on both peers or allow all on both peers
and enable only g729 on softphones.
my asterisk in middle don't have g729 and g723.1 on my asterisk but my
both end point have these codecs i just allowed the codes and it works
perfectly.

There is no such thing as a Logoff event. You issue a Logoff action and get a reponse. Only
if Asterisk is shutting down, there will be a Shutdown event.
It looks like this ( denotes what you a sending, and what you will receive
from Asterisk):
Action: Logoff
ActionID: 4711

I'm trying to implement parking with only one button to park and unpark a call.
Scenario:
Call is answered, I press the button (on a Cisco SPA504) to park the call, it
comes to [from-office] context where the call is parked successfully (there is
no parking lot number announcement though).
Hmmm, do I understand you correctly that you park and unpark a call using the
same phone?
If yes, why does simply holding the call does not work? The SPA504 has an extra large button
on the right for this and you don't need any support in the dialplan.

I have Manager sessions running for hours without any connection losses. So if you have
connection losses then there is likely something else.

What happens if you get a malformed event, like multiple \r\n, or missing value, or \n instead
of \r\n. This is all

Right now, there is no way know to capture the Media IP. The channel

You can hack together a way with custom device states and manual use of the

rough dialplan might look like the following (adjust to match your
requirements, especially if a park fails or something similar):

Thanks Noah.
I thought my dialplan did that: Check to see if the parking space is occupied,
if so, pickup the call in the parking space, if not, park the call to that
space.
This works fine for the first time around, but the second time the
phone/asterisk behaves differently. Still not clear
