Hi,
I'd try to change somethings about my asterisk configuration.
I think, it's near OK !
AMD (Asterisk Machine detect) is right but it's detect if the caller is machine
or not.
I'd like to detect the called. for example to detect if my called answers me or
if it's his answering machine phone.

Hi
I have a task. While serving incoming call I should do some longtime
task(consumes more than few tens of seconds). So I decided to turn on
background music in order to entertain caller. `core show
applications` showed me 3 potential candidates: Background, Playback
and StartMusicOnHold.
Assuming your longtime task is in an AGI, you could do this:
AGI
Print STDOUT SET MUSIC ON HOLD DEFAULT\n
.. agi logic ..
.. end of agi logic ..
Print STDOUT SET MUSIC ON HOLD OFF\n

I don’t think that’s possible in the Asterisk framework. As I understand
it, the follow-me logic would transfer the call outside of Asterisk control.
If this is not a correct assumption, you could try MixMonitor on these
calls.

I'd like to check the status of queue members before issuing the queue
command so I can play an announcement if all the queue members are
unavailable. Using 'joinempty' doesn't work because I want the caller to be
able to join the queue after the announcement has played. I would prefer to
Use the Group() function to track queue usage and availability.

Hi Nathan,
Try this: ${QUEUE_MEMBER(queuename,free)}.
This would return the number of free members of 'queuename' queue.
