This is the error I get when trying to start Asterisk 11 on centos 5.
Asterisk 11 works fine on my centos 6 box - I also verified that on
Ok so I was not able to get the actual line in use from core show

So I thought I would bit the bullet and just monitor events since that

I apologize in advance if I do not ask the question well, but, here goes. I
have SIP extensions (Digium phones) on one Asterisk system. Once I have set
sendrpid=pai in sip.conf, they see the called party name on their displays when
calling eachother. Is
there any method to extend this
It may depend on the asterisk version, but in theory you should just be able to
set callerid(num) and callerid(name) before doing the IAX2 dial. You should
always specify the Asterisk version you are using as features often change or
are available/not available between different releases.
Hi
I have 16 new cisco(linksys) spa508g phones on asterisk 1.8. I cannot get a

Thanks

name and number of the person calling them. I was wondering if there was any
means to show the person
initiating the call the name of the called

I was wondering if there was any means to show the person initiating the

the same Asterisk server. Thank you.
I do this now with a database look up against the destination extension, since

You must make sure that for each card, the timing parameter does not
exceed the number of spans on the card (unless you're using a timing
cable between cards). So you probably don't want to have anything above
a 4 for the timing parameter... I see below that you have 5-12 listed in

It allows you to pass any variable you like between 2 boxes.
