New to Asterisk?
On Asterisk 1.8.18.0, when the Voice message is transferred from one
extension to another extension, MWI on Linksys SPA 508G does work all
the time. Somehow sometimes it seems to be working and sometimes it's
not.
Please advice.
Thanks!

HI bilal,
I don't think DAHDI can send SMS you have 2 options chan_mobile or
chan_datacard "ex chan_dongle" chan_datacard i have not
tested but with some mobile phones you can send sms i have tested also with
some made in china unbranded phone that are capable to send and receive sms
but not good
Hi Asghar;
I was looking to use chan_mobile for sending SMS, is it possible? Or it is only
for calls?
By the way, if I have GSM adaptor that convert from SIM card to FXS port, then
who I need chan_mobile? I can use DAHDI. So when to use chan_mobile?
Regards
Bilal

Thank you Olle.
Well, in my test scenario I will leave the /bindaddr=::/ value.
Any idea if/when asterisk will support two specific bindaddr (one for
IPv4 and another for IPv6) ?

Thank you Asghar.
Well, with the current status, and for this scenario, it looks like we
have to implement some kind of workaround. For now I will keep the
/bindaddr=:: /parameter.

I'm going to try the new version first, version 11.
I've never reported a bug, but if version 11 fixes the problem, should I still
report it?

; With the current situation, you can do one of four things:
; a) Listen on a specific IPv4 address. Example: bindaddr=192.0.2.1
; b) Listen on a specific IPv6 address. Example: bindaddr=2001:db8::1
; c) Listen on the IPv4 wildcard.Example: bindaddr=0.0.0.0
