How would you rate this product ?

I don't use it for faxing only for the purposes of testing its
capabilities receiving. I have progressively upgraded the firmware as it
has been released.

Is it easy to auto-provision an HT503 over TFTP or HTTP ?

It has these options though I have not used auto-provisioning with it.

Grandstream have configuration tools and templates, see
http://www.grandstream.com/support/tools.

Is it easy to localize FXO/FXS setttings for non-US countries (those
having played with a SPA3102 sure know what I'm thinking about) ?

In short, Yes!

Do it T.38 implementation works ok with Asterisk ?

Seems to though I really have only performed basic testing receiving a
fax through it from the PSTN (FXO port).

Larry.

the message that you are getting can be caused by that.

You might want to check the build logs to be sure that you do not have a

32 bit libraries will work on 64 bit Linux but not when mixed with 64

Hello,

same problem with asterisk-1.8.23.1

So how do I check if I have 32 bit libs installed ?

I always install with yum, so on a 64bit CentOS 6.4 there should only be
64bit libs installed...

You might want to check the build logs to be sure that you do not have
a 32 bit library installed.

32 bit libraries will work on 64 bit Linux but not when mixed with 64
bit applications.

Are you using a VIA C6/C7 processor (often found soldered to tiny
motherboards), by any chance? This family of processors falsely report as
i686 when they lack some of the instructions for this family.

The fix is to build for a target architecture of i586.

Hello,

problem is solved by compiling Asterisk as follow :

[root@sip32 asterisk]# ./configure CFLAGS=-mtune=native

Now Asterisk starts normally, without any error message.

Is this a problem of Asterisk or a problem of gcc ??

Hi Jean.

I am not sure but believe the sequence of CEL events should be considered

 How does the event ATTENDEDTRANSFER/ SIP/107-0274/ Local/103@100-0042;1

Well, it is a way lot harder to figure out because you used
features.conf. Because of this, local channels are involved.

What I don't understand is how the events in my example can be used to
determine 107 was attended transferred to 103 by 100.

How does the event ATTENDEDTRANSFER/ SIP/107-0274/ Local/103@100-0042;1
show that 107 is transferred to 103?

Specifically, you are going to have to track the channel IDs and look at
the sequence of events. Then make an educated guess about what is
happening.

Re: [asterisk-users] Movistar sip Mexico

2013-11-20 Thread Alyed
Think you only need to make sure you have in your sip.conf file these
configs:

[your-device-name]
.
.
disallow=all
allow=g729
.
.

 Hello,

 I have a problem with movistar in Mexico with a sip calls. Movistar send
 to me T38 and G729 in the INVITE and they say that I have to ignore T38 and
 use G729 in the voice call.

 When a fax call is made Movistar send only T38 in the INVITE.

 Invite example:

 v=0
 o=GDL-BMSW-12D 19913379 19899826 IN IP4 192.168.1.2
 s=sip call
 c=IN IP4 192.168.1.2
 t=0 0
 m=audio 6370 RTP/AVP 18 101
 a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes
 a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000
 a=fmtp:101 0-15
 a=ptime:20
 m=image 6372 udptl t38
 a=T38FaxVersion:0
 a=T38FaxMaxBuffer:1100
 a=T38FaxMaxDatagram:612
 a=T38MaxBitRate:14400
 a=T38FaxRateManagement:transferredTCF
 a=T38FaxUdpEC:t38UDPRedundancy

 How can I ignore T38 and use only G729 for this call?.

 Thanks for your help.

 Damian

Re: [asterisk-users] Movistar sip Mexico

2013-11-20 Thread Damian Gonzalez
Hello,

Thanks for the quickly response. I have only G729 in the peer but I have
t38pt_udptl= yes

If I put t38pt_udptl=no , asterisk reject the call with 488 code.

The problem is that Movistar send T38 codec in all calls and I need ignore
only if in the SDP I have G729 and T38 (18 and 101), but if I have only T38
I have to negociate a fax call.

Thanks.

2013-11-20 Thread Kristian Kielhofner
It is possible that Asterisk requires an rtpmap even for static payload
types (I'm not sure about this). The INVITE from your provider omits
rtpmap for payload type 18 (G729) which is perfectly valid.

[asterisk-users] userfield not logged to CDR

2013-11-20 Thread Dan Journo
Hi,

I'm logging cdr via odbc to mysql. It seems that there is an intermittent
problem where the CDR(userfield) isn't written to the database. The rows all
seem to be there, but that specific field is missing. The same dialplan.
Nothings changed. Probably 1 in 10 is missing the userfield.

Any ideas how I can debug this?

Many thanks
Dan

Ok, Ive done a little more digging and it appears that some lines in CDR-CSV
are also being missed out intermittently.
But the userfield in CDR-CSV is populated every time.

Its Asterisk 11.5.1

Ignoring ODBC for now, how do I debug writing of CDR-CSV?

I've logged this as an issue as I can't see any reason for it to be
intermittent.

Hi Paul,

 Well, it is a way lot harder to figure out because you used
 features.conf. Because of this, local channels are involved.

Right, but this is sometimes necessary, and it's an asterisk feature.

 Specifically, you are going to have to track the channel IDs and look at
 the sequence of events. Then make an educated guess about what is
 happening.

ok, but it could be so much easier (and reliable) if we had a CEL (or
AMI event) that tracks the requested atxfer, like the CLI debug message:

[Nov 20 13:09:28] DEBUG[12002][C-0174]: features.c:2701
builtin_atxfer: Executing Attended Transfer SIP/CROcqu0s-02b5,
SIP/ngqckJos-02b6 (sense=2)

Or adding the physical channel in the extra field of the CEL when
CHAN_START event is fired for Local channels.

Thanks,
