Given that SIP packets have embedded IP addresses in them and when behind
NAT they need to have IP settings to deal with it.
How does one set up Asterisk when it is in a docker container?
E.g.
Docker Container IP <==> Docker Host <==> Gateway <==> Internet
172.17.0.1/16 <==> 192.168.50.1 <==>

I also got RLS working with Yealink phones: it was surprisingly easy to
setup.
I had issues with this feature on Aastra phones and I'm planning to try it
with Digium phones.
Manually changing Custom Device States is very simple ... and smart idea !

Has anyone done any integration of USB, etc. panic buttons and Asterisk?
The basic idea would be to have a USB based panic button[1] along with a
bit of code which would trigger a group SMS or perhaps a pre-recorded call
to a group.

We integrated a variety of USB devices with Asterisk. A number of ways to do
so…the device interface has a lot to do with the how.

involved is a SIP PABX running on one...
There are actually 2 parallel running systems on my site: one is SIP based, with
hardphones and softphones; and the other is Siemens HiPath.
