E. g. You can also then try in /etc/hosts to put 10.10.0.103 mcts.org e. g. if any local reverse lookup is done "10.10.0.103" resolves to "mcts.org" and the converse for normal DNS lookups. You can even try in /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf to make the "systemname" line be systemname=10.10.0.103

This is usually a symptom of something on the call path mishandling the session setup. Check routers/firewall/SIP proxy, etc. Likely a firmware bug is causing it to use the wrong IP address and passing that to the other end. Even if you disabled these devices, REMOVE them from the call

All: We have made progress. We have the Avaya Session Manager showing a good connection now and we're looking at getting calls across to the Asterisk IVR machine now. Seems we were defaulting to UDP and the Avaya SM wanted TCP. They switched the Avaya end to UDP and I made some other settings

Thanks for the reply John. About 85-90% of what this box has to do is just handle calls, but it also has options to transfer calls to the main phone system, which up to now has been another asterisk box. For example, you can hit 6 to be transferred to the Lost & Found Department. I do have
