Re: [asterisk-users] Google TTS - Asterisk
You need to have unicode installed so as to properly enter the text CK Lee On 7 Apr, 2012, at 1:51 PM, Sriram d_r_sri...@hotmail.com wrote: Hi I was trying out Lefteris’ Asterisk google TTS and its working great with English..I have a question here – since it support hindi, tamil and other languages as well.. I would like to experiment it but am struck at one place : ;;Play message in Spanish exten = 1234,n,agi(googletts.agi,Esta es una simple prueba en español.,es) ;;Play message in Greek exten = 1234,n,agi(googletts.agi,Αυτό είναι ένα απλό τέστ στα ελληνικά.,el) now in the above text – if I try to paste hindi fonts in “vi editor” or copy the hindi text from wordpad to vi editor – the entire text gets garbled.. and therefore call disconnects when google tries to parse it. Can someone please let me know how to handle this ? Also is it a legitimate way of using Google speech recognition and TTS in this way ? i.e no license issues would arise? thanks Sriram -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? Re: [asterisk-users] skype for asterisk usage in the future
Will you consider alternatives such as siptosis? The uncertainties are really there for SFA CK Lee On 12 Jul, 2011, at 10:48 AM, d tbsky tbs...@gmail.com wrote: hi: I am a SFA (skype for asterisk) user. I had ask Digium questions about SFA usage in the future. but they seem too busy to reply. so I tried at this list. I hope there are SFA users or Digium people can solve my confusion. 1. SFA can not be registered after 26 July. so I want to prepare a backup machine for our server. I read in the document that I can re-register my SFA once. so I want to make sure if I can re-register with my backup server now, and in the same time my production machine still function correctly. and if my production machine is broken one day, my backup machine can go on line. in short: can I keep two machines with one license now? I hope so because I can not re-register later after 26 July. 2. I saw SFA will not be supported after two years. my question is: although it is not supported, can I still use it? I want to buy more licenses now if I can still use it after two years even without official support. thanks a lot for your kindly help!! From: Dovid Bender asteriskus...@dovid.net Date: 09/05/2011 17:28 Jay, AFAIK you can only use chan_datacard with a specific USB modem (I can not recall the name at the moment). I have tried it and it works well for both Audio and SMS messages. You may want to try chan_mobile which works over blue tooth. Regards, Dovid - Original Message - From: Jay R. Hi, i have some spare (read: Boss get's a new one every few month ;)) Android Phones laying around. Does someone know a way of using them as a mobile gateway for asterisk? I could not find any SIP-Gateway in the Market, and i don't think it's possible to use the GSM Audio directly with something like chan_datacard...
