[asterisk-users] Re: mISDN, 2 Billion HFC ISDN cards, cannot dial or receive
UPDATE I can now dial and receive ISDN calls, but get an error message on the console intermitently and on boot. The error message is: mISDN dss1 fromup without proc pr=10180 dinfo(0) I don't know what any part of this means. Any thoughts please? Solution so far: http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/bri.html has a good description of the difference between PTP and PTMP. I was incorrectly set to PTMP, and have now changed that. I also followed instructions from http://www.cognovis.de/entwickler/tips/asterisk/hardware/ and removed Hisax. After these two changes i could dial and receive BRI calls. I suspect Hisax was the critical one, as my other machine runs fine under PTMP. mISDN dss1 fromup without proc pr=10180 dinfo(0) On 26/09/06, Nigel Godfrey [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have two similar Billion HFC cards working on a bri-stuffed Asterisk 0.99 server which has run my phone system in the UK for 2 years without fault. I've installed Asterisk 1.2.12.1 via the Beronet install-asterisk script and it appears to have installed mISDN correctly too. Placing a call to ISDN I get silence for 6 seconds, and then the call is dropped. Placing an incoming call over the PSTN from my mobile phone, i get no acknowledgement from the Asterisk, and a continuous tone from the mobile. The mISDN log (log level 4) for the outgoing call is below. Does anyone have a similar system working? Does anyone know why nothing appears to happen? I'll post a solution when I get one... [asterisk-users] ISDN BRI, and Trixbox
Hi, I have 2 Billion BRI ISDN cards, and intend to set up a Trixbox server. I currently have a Asterisk 1.0 server which has been running for a couple of years using Billion BRI cards and Junghanns BRIstuff. Trixbox, if it works, seems to offer various useful UI elements, and one easy standardised install. Or would I be better off not using Trixbox? Astbill perhaps? Does anyone have experience of setting up BRI in a Trixbox environment? I'll report on a good method for the record when I find one.
