Greetings, John You might be the only one experiencing it or it might be considered trivial by the readers of the thread. I'm on 1.4.37 so it's not really up my alley. It's entirely possible that 5 SIP phantoms and 318 active dialogs are meaningless since all but the smallest Asterisk installs should be able to handle call/channel volumes into the thousands. If it is affecting your system performance, post again (and try to use your nice voice :) ). -- _ -- Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com -- New to Asterisk? Re: [asterisk-users] 1.8.2.4: SIP dialogs not killed?
As far I know asterisk doesn't handle the publish sip dialog so it just keeps it hanging around in 1.8.X (in previous versions it didn't) I turned off all publish dialogs in the snom phones I have and that got rid of that It doesn't really have any impact on the system as far as I have seen -Original Message- From: Terry Wilson twil...@digium.com Sender: asterisk-users-boun...@lists.digium.com Date: Mon, 28 Feb 2011 16:32:51 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussionasterisk-users@lists.digium.com Reply-To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] 1.8.2.4: SIP dialogs not killed? Thanks for clearing that up for me! I was just worried because of the persistent dialogs and their increasing number ;) Since my first mail didn't bring up a don't worry, everything's normal I tried again. So you say that's intended behavior and that it's a feature, not a bug, I won't have to worry anymore :) I noticed the difference between core show channels and sip show channels, but that confused me even more, so I decided to ask here.
