Oddly, my first few connections worked fine (unexpectedly good audio, both ways).Being all happy and stuff, made a call to a client, to show off. Experiencing one way audio using IAX2.

I did see some other posts on this, and see there may be some internal issues
with asterisk and one way audio. Can this be a widespread problem? So many
seem to be using IAX, I find it puzzling.

Some information points to this being a problem on asymmetrical connections.

a lost packet issue as I am sending IAX off net.

My experience has been that there is no two-way audio, except that I am able
to send a SINGLE, brief touch tone digit.

Let me know if I can provide anything to assist in getting this bug fixed.

do you still have trunk=yes in your iax.conf?
if so, remove them for CVS-HEAD stuff.

RE: [Asterisk-Users] IAX2 one way audio

2005-04-29 Thread Ken N. March
Yep, seeing the exact same problem here if it's a trunked IAX2
connection. A CVS checkout I had from early April did the same thing.

Try setting trunk=no and see if it works. Seemed to fix the problem
here for us with our development cluster.

To quote bkw (from earlier this week in IRC), trunking is BROKEN in
CVS. I've been meaning to finish getting all the info together to bug
it, but I've been pretty swamped here at work. Hopefully I'll get to it
today if someone else doesn't.

Bogdan,
Thanks for the reply. The problem started on Saturday for me. I am not sure
if I made any calls on Friday. My email sent Sunday has not gotten a
response either. This is the first problem that I have had with them. I
hope it gets fixed soon.
I will copy the list in case anyone else is listening.

[Asterisk-Users] IAX2 One way audio PSTN via Gafachi

2004-11-08 Thread John Kington
I am experiencing one way audio when I call through Gafachi. I can hear the
person that I am
calling but they can not hear me. I am able to call FWD echo test and have
no problems. My
daughter has called me using sjphone (sip) and firefly (iax2) with no
problems.
I have been using Gafachi since July using IAX2 and this is the first time
I have had any
problem. I did recently add some users in iax.conf so it is possible that I
messed something up.
I ran a debug but could not see anything that would indicate why I can hear
the callee but the
callee can not hear me. Can anyone confirm that they are having a similar
problem or see what
I did wrong from the debug output? Please note that I sanitized information
like userid, password ...
Regards,
John
