Sorry for slow response, been away. Stefan, thankyou. I've made the changes you suggested to my sip.conf - and all is back to normal. Thanks to everyone else for your suggestions. Re: [asterisk-users] Lamps on Snom phones
Sorry, should have put that in my reply. core show hints shows me all the hints as I would expect to see them, for example: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: SIP/510 State:Idle Watchers 6 and core show subscriptions also shows me all the subscriptions, again as I would expect to see them (here you can see the subscription on MY phone for 510): 10.0.0.77phil3c267009a12 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Idle dialog-info+xml none As far as I can tell, Asterisk is setup as it should be but the Snoms just don't pick anything up. I've incorporated the kind responses from other list members, such as setting call limits but to no avail! I've checked the function key settings on the Snom, and adjusted it to match the suggestion from another list member - nothing. Watch the SIP Trace page on the Snom. 1. When it boots, it should send out a Subscribe message. 2. When the other phone is getting a call, the Snom should receive a Notify messages to tell the state. This might be a little out of date, but the main info is there: http://www.abptech.com/support/faqs/ | SP10 Regards, Shanon -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Russell Brown Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2008 12:01 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [asterisk-users] Lamps on Snom phones Quoth Phil Knighton [EMAIL PROTECTED] I've incorporated the kind responses from other list members, such as setting call limits but to no avail! [asterisk-users] Lamps on Snom phones
Hello Happy New Year to all!! I've just completed porting from Asterisk 1.2 to 1.4. I did this by doing a clean install on a new box, and moving over configuration and scripts where needed. All went surprisingly well! Anyway, one lingering issue is that the function key lamps on our Snom phones have all stopped working! We're using a mix of Snom 290/320/360 phones and we used to have them setup so you could see if certain extensions were ringing or engaged. Since moving to 1.4, all of them have stopped working. The Snoms themselves are configured in exactly the same way, and it doesn't matter what I try on the phones I can't get them working again. Been through lots of stuff in the forums, and as far as I can tell I have got the hints setup correctly and everything *should* be working fine. There must be something different within 1.4 that I'm missing? Any ideas would be appreciated! Quoth Phil Knighton [EMAIL PROTECTED] I've just completed porting from Asterisk 1.2 to 1.4. Anyway, one lingering issue is that the function key lamps on our Snom phones have all stopped working! I'm using Snom's with 1.4.X The fkeys on the Snom's are set to Type Extension and the number is sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (no quotes). This also means that you can press John's button to ring his phone. Works for me (ISTR the hints for sip phones are automagically generated by Asterisk 1.4.X; check it with CLI show hints). I also use func_devstate module and Snom buttons to do things like light up when a group is in night service. I've a hint like so: exten = 200,hint,Custom:nightservice200 in my dialplan and point a Snom button at sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]. Then in my dialplan that sets/clears nightservice I have the following: exten = _*20*200.,n,Set(DEVSTATE(Custom:nightservice200)=INUSE) and exten = _*21*200.,n,Set(DEVSTATE(Custom:nightservice200)=NOT_INUSE) Voila! The group gets put into night service and the corresponding light on my Snom370 comes on.
