not all winmodem works as X100P. You should find a winmodem with the Intel
Ambient MD3200 chip. It works great.

Why bother to spend all the time messing around with it when the best you
could possibly get would be poor quality and half duplex when for $7 you can
buy a PSTN card on eBay that works great.
