Most users will place all files on the 1GB CF (with provided web or CLI tools
to partition the CF card).
Is there a reason you want to additionally use a USB stick?

embedded VOIP servers. in the past i've implemented systems using debian

one thing among others that attracted me to astlinux was the idea of using

This is just a follow-up regarding the so-called "Firewall Oddity" which was
caused, in great part, by my lack of patience.
With Lonnie's help, I learned that the problem described below (and which
Lonnie couldn't reproduce) clears following a SECOND reboot during the upgrade
procedure.
