We need more information about your setup to help.
Let me assume you are using a recent version of AstLinux, and AstLinux is
acting as the OpenVPN server.
As this document states, you need the Firewall enabled for OpenVPN to operate
properly.

Yup, so I've got this upgrade to get through on 1.4, and after that, I need
to migrate to 1.8. Makes perfect sense - thanks for the clarification.

The 1.4 firmware upgrades are there for AstLinux 1.1.0 because some code was
added to force VIA users over to the Generic i586 platform. Astlinux 1.1.0
will be the last image for Asterisk 1.4.x and the last for VIA (wrap and
net4801).
Does that make sense?

A clarification: 1.4 is not officially supported under 1.1. However, I've
just done a GUI upgrade on a 1.0.6/1.4 backup box, and it has upgraded to
1.1. So, is there a 1.1/1.4 image in the repository, despite the fact that
it is unsupporte
