As an FYI on this, I ran iperf3 as a server on one of my hosted Astlinux boxes.
Seemed to work fine:
/usr/bin/iperf3 -s -p 5200 -D >/dev/null 2>&1
Open up firewall for UDP/TCP to port 5200
