Hello, First of all please excuse to return on this old thread - we forget to confirm that the driver was working well in 0.7.0 astlinux version (Asterisk 1.4.29, Linux 2.6.27.29-astlinux). Today we have checked the latest 0.7 image (astlinux-0.7.3-asterisk14) and it looks like r6040 driver

Ioan, It appears that the "CONFIG_R6040" was not available in the 0.6 kernel, and is marked as (EXPERIMENTAL) in the 0.7 kernel, linux-2.6.27.29. RDC R6040 Fast Ethernet Adapter support (EXPERIMENTAL) I'll let it up to other Dev's to determine if this is a 'safe' addition to the AstLinux 0.7 g
