OpenBSD has support for it but I haven't tried. FreeBSD doesn't have support for the ath9k_htc NICs. I've been looking for someone to take charge of writing/porting the WMI/HTC USB glue over from openbsd/ath9k (and I'll even do the HAL/driver changes needed!) but so far I've had no takers. Adri

Thank you, I did try another USB port on my linux machine & it worked. Is there support for the device in BSD? From all I read it should work but it is not being recognized there. It is on an old soekris box so it isn't a usb3 interface (running pf-sense). Thank you for the info! David On 07/1

I have confirmed that I have the latest 1.3 firmware using a usb adaptor (AWUS036NHA) with Atheros 9271 chipset. The adaptor keeps receiving an error on loading the firmware. Google has not shown me anything helpful. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you Jul 12 17:09:17 ralfthewise k
