I would put the computer next to or under the desk.It would be good if you were to measure out how much space you have for a computer though. That would help you figure out if you have enough.

you can now get midsize towers with enough power for what you're trying to do i'm talking like maybe 12 inches tall for instance.

One thing to keep in mind, I would always, always get an external mic for streaming. Headset mics sound like absolute garbage. They're fine for just skype / TT sessions with friends or whatever, but people will not want to listen to you if that's what

Yeah and the thing about gaming laptops is that you still end up paying a premium for the same amount of power and the cooling solutions are often pretty loud. I agree that being able to pick up and move is nice, but if your gonna have a proper mic

Well, a laptop does have its advantages with portability etc, when or if you decide to move, or transport it, and you could get a gaming machine to reduce throttling, but most laptops unfortunatly are focused on portability over anything else, except

I really wouldn't suggest a laptop for streaming. Firstly because your going to spend more money for less power in a laptop VS a desktop, and secondly because a desktop allows you to upgrade or separately buy whatever GPU, nicer soundcard, or capture
