Right you are CrashMaster, I believe that when it comes to building PCs, since most of the connections are idiot proof, experience is the biggest factor for success.

For what it's worth, the reason mainboards are so similar is because none of the manufacturers actually design a mainboard from scratch. Instead they start with the chip set manufacturer's reference design and tweak it a little just to make it unique.Graphics

Before I lost my vision I worked for 15 years building custom PCs for customers both businesses and individuals.Now that I am blind, the only part of building a PC I'd imagine having trouble with is connecting the mainboard to the case's front panel switches

Hi everyone,Have any of you built your own desktop? I took a course in high school that tought how to successfully build one, but as a blind person taking a predominantly visual-heavy chapter, I wasn't confident in my skills afterwords.Just curious to see who
