Audible support in Canada is probably slated for a future release.They are always updating the Alexa service and occasionally send new code to the devices. Just a couple of days ago, my Echo said it had received a new code update and had to restart

Google home mini has a crappy mik: By that I mean you always sound clippy compared to the echo dot's, not so bad sounding situation. I'd pick Amazon at this point, but things could change.
