And Goldwave is simple to use. No buttons in the main window, mostly driven by keyboard commands.

Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
I'm using both GoldWave and SoundForge for audio editing, and I have Audacity installed as well. Each of them has it's own advantages and disadvantages. In Sound Forge I like reverb mor than in GoldWave, but in GoldWave Noise Reduction is easier to do
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Goldwave, while some effects are not suited for professional use, you have the vst plugins. Goldwave, unlike wavepad, can make precise down-to-the-sample track measurements. If you buy the masters edition of Wavepad you'll get access to an awesome
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
You know, I've heard of this application. I've heard that it is professional, and comparable to that of Logic Pro for the Mac. Is this true, for anyone who uses an Apple Macintosh? I have also considered buying it. However, my issue is that I do
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Nocternus, I couldn't agree with you more.I have used Gold Wave to help create my Nes Soundfont, which may or may not be available for download, I'll have to see if my DB is cooperating. I have also used it to create my playthroughs. No other audio
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
I guess I'm in the same boat as those who have used it, complete n00b, eh? Ah well... Knowing that I cannot discourage the elitist mindsets and that quite frankly topics of this caliber would not be topics of this caliber without elitist mindsets, I
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
@eethan: still disagree with you, man. I've been using GW professionally, and I've been able to do really good stuff, the same you can do with sound forge. Yes it has its disadvantages, but the fact you have to use plugins to get a good reverb doesn't
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
The big advantage to wave pad is that it does come with a sound library, but I'd honestly buy that library stand-alone if I could. Not just to use it with other editors, which you could of course do even if you bought wave pad, but so that you didn't
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
SoGoldWave is more accessible, than WavePad, but this is only my opinion.I'll use this wavepad with GoldWavem but i'm not sure how many time i'll use it.

Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Here's a tip on the reverb. If you want the noticeable artificial reverb to go away, you set that volume much lower, like -30.00, set that delay scale down to 0.70, and and the time to 0.500. That will be a much nicer reverb.

well, I personally like wave pad over gold wave. I use it as my audio editor, and it works grate. Aside from accessibility issues, like being unable to use vst plugins and some others, it's grate. You just need to get use to the gradual speed up when

Hello There.@Ethan: I think I totally disagree with you. Yes, everybody has his preferences, but I think gold wave can be used professionally for audio editing, been using it for almost 2 or 3 years and quite honestly, have nothing to complain about
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
@blindgamer, Gold Wave is a good audio editor, but it certainly is not the best, and is certainly not "professional-grade." It's good for not only hobbyists, but also for general audio editing. If you want a professional-grade, master au

Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Yeh, why is 32bit so hated on? if you're running windows 7, chances our your browsers are still defaulting to 32 bit anyway, unless you're no longer worried about old plugins not working properly which were coded for 32bit systems, you've kept up
Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Nothing wrong with using a 32bit version of windows, I do too on my macbook pro virtually. But yes, if you want to use goldwave, a cracked version should not be used. It is by far the cheapest editor I've found, yet still feature-rich and proven

Based on my experiences with both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows, the only real benefit that 64 bit Windows gives you is access to more than 4 GB of memory. It isn't any faster, or more stable, than 32 bit versions. My current system is limited to 4

Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Yes, but the point is some of the effects could be better. The best reverb I've heard came from soudforge. I'm sure there are plugins around that have better reverb/echos, take vst's as an example. If you do it right, though, you can make the reverb

Re: GoldWave, a powerfull audio editor
Hi.To be honest, 32 bit systems are on the way out.Yes a lot of stuff is still 32 bit, but every so often ms threatens to pull 32 bit completely.Every new system will have a 64 bit processer.Unless your system has less than 3 or 4gb ram like mine
