Re: Is there any reason I should bother with 1gbps internet? A call to your provider is in order, and check your advertised speed. I am 100% sure your speed isn't 1 mb. Your speed is slow even for 1 mb. Not only ask for a repair, but also ask for a refund of the months that you got slow

Re: Is there any reason I should bother with 1gbps internet? That is crazy. Run a test with speedtest.net, both with wire and wireless. If wired shows the same less  than 0.5 mbps speed, call your ISP, and open a support ticket. If only wireless is only slow, ask for a gateway replacement

Re: Is there any reason I should bother with 1gbps internet? Well, it won't probably if more than 1 person uses it. You can only stream 4k on one device with 25 mbps,  so if anyone wants to turn on a high quality netflix stream, you  can't use the net without messing up the quality
