To add to what Mayana said, to focus mouse, use NVDA shift M on laptop and NVDA numpad divide on desktop. You can either use NVDA left and right bracket to do a mouse click at that point, or NVDA enter if that doesn't work as

It's oddly rewarding to solve mini challenges like that! Probably cause I'm not doing anything better with my life, considering the sites that tend to harbour the most challenges are not the necessary sorts of sites.

Try NVDA+ctrl+space. If that fails, also try NVDA+F5. If that also fails you probably have broken Aria and should find out if there's someone to contact, unless you have enough knowledge to poke around with Firefox devtools.
