Nope, most modern both simply have both connectors built into the M.2 slot, and the NvME connector will have higher priority. So, if the spec says that it supports NvME, you should be able to insert one with ease

M.2 is just a form factor. You can have a Sata M.2 which has no true difference from a Sata 2.5 drive. However, an NVME drive is much faster. see this article for your questions answered more detailed

hmm, okay, will take that into consideration. I know that you can choose either from the spec sheet, so I think that means it supports both.

OK, it is like this: M.2 SATA and NVME drives are totally equal in shape, only the connectors are different. While the SATA connectors are e.g. to the left of the device, the NVME connectors are to the right

OK. If I ac't actually replace it, then I'll just ask for the NVME version instead, because I know it will ' quicker.

M2 drives are their own interface, I don't think they make SATA versions of those. They do make SATA SSDs of course, but if it has an M2, they're supposed to be pretty friggin' quick. I am not a hardware expert, so could
