@6 Cool, thanks for pointing all that out. That at least sands off the roughest edges so I can figure out the rest. I was pasting in podcast links by hand because I couldn't find OPML import, and the one long list made the whole process so much less

It's possible to separate podcasts into their own playlists, Go into view>Podcatcher Feed Manager, find the name of the podcast, right click it and select Create playlist (1 item). This will separate the podcast into a playlist called Podcatc

Cool, thanks folks. I somehow missed the quick setup, but it looks like the configuration screen lets me revisit it. I've done so, and now I actually have my music behaving how I'd like. I'll disable the classic UI, which I only went with as per

If you select the first one in the list in the Quick setup view thing, it will have a playlist view, and a library view which you can drill into by artist, album, genre, year, and folder structure.
