when you go to desktop, basically you should have a computer shortcut, click properties, and then press Insert+b to read all the specifications of your computer, starting from Processor, ram, memory, username etc

So I am running Windows 7 32-bit, home Premium, with an intel atom 1.60 ghz with 2.00gb ram installed.

I would agree. In windows xp, it was quicker although windows xp took up less less resources then windows 7 does. I think microsoft has done it right with windows 8 and 8.1
