try going into themes, and switch to windows 7 classic. Log off may be required.That should resolve the issue.

Ah, Ok, my mistake. I'm still interested because on my system "Desktop" used to show up in the alt tab list, now it doesn't and I'd like to get it back.

I think switching theme to windows classic should do the trick as far as I am aware.Anyone know how to do this on windows 8.1? Even if I mod the themes list to show the classic theme it still doesn't work.
