It will be in doors and conditions will not be the best. I will have to sort of work hard at avoiding things like lights and computer type things that RF noise are most likely will come from while trying to stay near weindows.

The only thing I can see being a problem is the durability of the insulation sleaveing on the wiring if your rigging this up outside. It's speaker wire, I don't think it would last long exposed to the elements

Ok. I guess I will give it a try. It will not mess up the receiver if it is not a good match. I will see about emailing those who does the ham nation show. Then again, I thought I heard something on the last week's show about making a dipol out of the stuff

Speaker wire as antenna
So, will around 75 feet of speaker wire work for a shortwave antenna? Someone i know ask me how much I thought I needed and they picked up some speaker wire. Granted, they gave me three size choices, and the radio has clips on the side for a wire antenna.
