Honestly, I'm less concerned about the audio quality than just being able to record to tape. Assuming that's the quality you were talking about. Of course there's also the physical quality of the equipment after decades to be taken into consideration

I could be using the term incorrectly, I thought all tape players could be referred to as decks, but I definitely could be wrong about that. In any case, the ones I was talking about shouldn't be very big, at least I wouldn't think so. It's the quality

The problem is, I'm not exactly looking for a tapedeck, I reckon those are somewhat easier to find. Unless I'm misunderstanding the definition of tapedeck of course. I'm not thinking of the big bricks that can record on four tapes at once, I'm thinking
