You can break out of the VM on VBox by pressing right control, and by using left control + left alt on VMware. The orca key may not function in the latest versions of Ubuntu (it may be unbound). In that case, as soon as you here the drumbs, give it a few more

I recommend using vmware player instead. Its less confusing for me.

Virtualbox question
Hello.I've been wanting to try Linux for a long time now. I've installed virtualbox and the virtualbox extension pack on my windows 7 laptop. I've gotten the latest Ubuntu disk image. I found a guide that tells you how to install Ubuntu here . I follow
