Well, what about dat files not being protected with a password? I made one a while ago for a flute instrument in BGT and seem to have lost the original files.Edit: managed to do that by keeping the key field empty.

You should be able to get the files out of the pack file, even if it is encrypted, since (IIRC) the pack file itself isn't encrypted, just the files inside it.

Hey all so my computer crashed and I lost this little program I had and I have no idea where to find it again. It is a file extractor and dat creator for bgt. It let you incript files using a key and was really cool to make your own sound.dat
