Hi.Well having a digital recorder implies portability.If you don't want one like this, and don't want to record in multiple locations and only a fixed one, you may be better served with getting something like goldwave for your computer

hell, there isn't one to begin with, instead there is a lever which extends outwards for connecting to usb. besides sony also provided a cable in case someone prefers not to plug directly, but no diffrence. and i don't think any so called

Probably a bad USB cable. Try using a different one and also, try reinstalling the drivers.

I do like my DM 420 from Olympus but I'm looking for a recorder that can record in mono, stereo, or wide. One that is accessible and doesn't require you to get a set of battery's every time you want to use. One with a internal battery
