also guys the dll files are the 16bit windows95 and win98 version of keynote gold. it would be great if this could at least be made into an NVDA addon somehow without the demo limitations and a combo box to switch keynote languages

Yeah. The eloquence running on such an inferior device, just wasn't gonna work. Keynote gold, especially at lower pitches, can actually sound quite human-like once you get used to it.

That is what I've been trying to do for the last 2 or 3 years. My two previous attempts of getting a humanware notetaker failed, and I have never seen a Keynote SA sold anywhere.

The remote synth is not like having the real thing. Specifically, every new command or input causes the TTS to chop horribly before speaking. And when you disconnect, the voice parameters remain in effect, even when using

The problem with eloquence is it is a resource-heavy synth for that system running windows cd, and not enough ram and cpu memory. Dectalk would've been a better route.

The question, is does it not support! sa emulation, or has it just not been brought back yet? They added keyboard support to the voicenote which previously didn't support thT, without a hardware change, they could probably bring

I think it was simply a feature removal. Somebody somewhere at Humanware was unhappy with passing serial coms through to a software implementation of the SA, and to be honest it was quite laggy and buggy anyway

I've contacted support time and again for it, but maybe we all should. There are times, like soundcard replacement, where a hardware synth is a necessity. You can't get the realtime feedback needed, even with a braille display.

Very few people these days use external synthesizers. I'm probably one of the few who do. I'm guessing HumanWare thought it wasn't really worth it to keep that around. It saves memory, I guess. What do you mean with "

Guillem, the free version of dectalk around was for jaws. That still works on versions of to 10.0, as well as demos, without the authorization diskette. The dectalk.dll could've been very easily stripped out of that freely

You need a virtual machine running Windows 95. The demo lasts 15 minutes before you must reboot your virtual machine.

The source code for keynote is locked unless decompiled. I think, though, that if they are to modernize vintage synths, that they should do it for either extremely! low cost, or free. Keynote may be able to go for a little bit

I don't mean to come off as rude, but seriously what's the obsession with KNG dude? It's a terrible synthesizer. I had to use it for reading books when I was younger and it sucked. It's unpleasant to listen to for extended periods
