May I possibly know, what do F1, f2, to F12 stand for on your note book? I have an HP notebook and they are not normal Keys. For example, F12 is used to turn the Wi-Fi on and off. I generally press the windows key and the function (Wi-Fi on and off) is avoided. It will say Windows F12 when it is pressed along with insert, or NVDA Key.I think it's common on a laptop to have such differences regarding keys. For example, not sure if this is a problem of Jaws, When I press left alt+left arrow to go back, the command is performed, but when I press right alt it is no longer the same, it says: "Not in a table".

hello aprone, my inventory went bye bye over night again. acording to memory, I had the following items:axe, sledgehammer, glok19, browning citory, winchester, marlin, mp5, ar15, chainsaw, m40, and m60. As I personally have not used the hacking easy zip file I couldn't tell you what's rong. However for the turbocar, once you take it and you've initialized the cooling system, if I remember right because its actually been a long time since i've played that part. Head left and fly over the structural failure, the door to the left of that should be unlocked and ready for you to proceed. I intended to do the level 4 and level 5 guide but never got around to it. Oh, and just thought i'd throw this out their, yes, I am working on a sequel to project alpha, death match, prototype as its codename is. I can already confirm that it uses an upgraded project alpha engine, which includes some of the following. The inventory system is much more extensively used, for items. Their is a new weapons system, featuring both primary and secondary firing modes. The different modes have different damages and speeds and also different sounds, along with different range for each. 
 Each weapon takes its own type of ammunition, either found in lockers throughout the games world, picked up or dropt by enemies. Enemies also drop items now when you kill them as aposed to the old system where they simpply gave the items to you. Per request after hereing liam play project alpha on his stream, i've implemented a path finder for the sequel. If you press control p, it'll tell you what coordinates you'll need to go to. Note, the next change was not taken lightly, and it took me a few hours to actually decide on it and asking of players. On dmnb v1, I held a vote asking players which control model and layout they prefered, the side scroller layout of project alpha, or dmnb's 2d grid layout. The majority of the votes were that they found the 2d experience to be more rewarding and actually felt like they were navigating a starship. Thus, i've spent the hole 2 days it took to upgrade the project alpha engine into 2d grid form. Note, this time, i
 9;ve made efferts to make navigation a hole lot easier than last time I tried this. As well as the mentioned path finder, the detection system has been replaced with a map system, pressing m opens this and displays a list of rooms on your current z coord. Pressing enter will tell you what's in though's rooms. You should be aware though that I have expanded on the exploration aspect. Their are a few areas in the game at present that require some exploration in order to find some cool bonus items, for exampple, plasma energy for the new and improved plasma gun as not only does it have limited ammo, but enemies now no longer shower you in ammo like they did before. And finily, I know you'll all like this change, because I myself enjoyed testing it. Multiplayer co op gameplay. This was tried with the unsuccessful dm v2.0 back when I was using bgt, however now that i've got the proper tools, i've ran it through another test with the project alpha engine and the g
 ames current storyline, with awsome success. I'll just say, its highly fun racing down the corridors of the I S S trek and collecting things, when your partner triggers an ambush ahead of you and both of you battle out to fight the nastys off. And last of all, i've actually got a structure now for dialogs, so if voice acting wants to be done it can be done now. For now, i've got the lines and cutseens voiced by tts. Like last time, i'm using the free sl engine to bring the environment back to life. Anyways, I won't say anymore on the current progress as i've reported all that needs to be reported, but i'll just like to say this. If you enjoyed that feature list, I do hope you'll have as much playing dm prototype and you'll find it a worthy sequel, as I do now testing and coding it.

Hi Lukas.[[wow]] thanks for this  awesome recording. Your english is really great...I have finally figured out what causes my issues with the game. I'm using a Bluetooth keyboard. For some reason, the keyboard gets a bit slower when I have activated other Bluetooth devices. That made the jumps nearly impossible. After having turned off the Bluetooth devices, I can do it just fine. I'll play through the demo to see if the game is for me or not.

Awesome idea on the mod capabilities, actually it reminds me strongly of Eamon, I'll probably be rather busy for the next few days but will have a bash at inserting an item or two to see how the system works. Rumours would be cool, both rumours about colours of vials related to harm, and also rumours about the strength of creatures or about what caused the appocalypse, also it'd be a nice way to get some friendlier npcs into the game, sinse manifestly there must be caravans of goods or slaves wandering around, as well as nomads and refugees, and maybe even some colonists trying to setup new settlements.Even if  we've not got the hole town system yet, perhaps some friendly encounters with camps of refugees or caravans where you spend a night by the fire, share some stewed stinking half dead striped wounded wild dire badger, and hear what's been going on, you could even recover some hp at the time as well.

Hmmm, Sightless Kombat, yes, they were in two places at once, or at least their future selves from 2015 who were thirty years older than their past selves from 1985 were. I don't see the problem, that's standard time travel stuff, after all Marty was in literally two places himself in 1955 during the school dance, once in back to the future one on stage trying to get his parents back together, and once in back to the future two trying to make sure Bif didn't end up with the sports records. No problem, indeed standard time travel stuff and no different to what happened in doctor who, heck the recent audio story The Wrong doctors was bilt around this idea, with the future sixth doctor who had traveled with Mel from after his trial dropping her off back home in her village of pease pottage to meet the past sixth doctor for the first time so that she would! be a future companion. Just all part of the fun of timy wimy .

Okay, so I have a bunch of really cool sound fonts that I want to test out, but I don't know which bank numbers the options correspond to. Will I just have to keep testing and upping the bank number by 128 every time until I get something new, or what? Yeah, if you wanna buy this game, I suggest you contact Munawar. Bpc programs is still down, apparently. Last I heard the rights to tdv were being sold. I am unsure about the status of treasure hunt, if the tdv rights will also include treasure hunt rights, if the game will just be abandonware, or anything else. As far as I know, development on that version of the game was put on the backburner.

It's quite interesting to see how different all the older games of BTTF were - the only game that most people seem to believe came even close to the movies was "super back to the future II" released as a japanese only game...There was a theory posted somewhere that basically invalidates BTTF II even happening as well, which makes near enough complete sense when you think it over.When Doc, Marty and Jennifer travel forward to 2015, they still see their futures selves in that timeline.  however, how does this even work when they weren't around during that timeline to begin with?  Unless of course history still runs its course whilst they're still in the car (they are in two places at once really)...

What about fonts that are just a single instrument? If you place, say, a general gm synth at the top, and a single trumpet sound on the bottom, how does the midi synth know that you want to replace the gm instrument's trumpet with the special trumpet you've loaded? Can you select trumpet from the instrument list and it just makes the replacement? I think I tried that and it didn't work so  hmm.

Epitaff looked rather good, though when I tried combat was a pest to read, I need to give it another go. I don't know Dead man walking (sounds interesting if it's well done, sort of like we're alive or the Big Finish Survivers series but on tv). If your interested however in zombies and ethical dilemmas, Zombie exodus and choice of zombies are both definitely recommended, there are also a couple of other zombie related games too from choiceofgames, though Mata is the person to talk about those sinse he's a major zombi fan. Btw, can't wait! for We're Alive lock down.

Speaking as someone who was one of the first to do one of these advanced online games like survive the wild, i'll list a few of my own personal experiences here. 1, pick your testers wizely, and watch their activitys. Their's nothing stopping them from adding more and more people you don't know to the testing team. 2, balance, balance, balance! I can't stress that enough. My extreme failure, with v1 of dmnb and the reason I took it down and am replacing it, is I spent way too much time listening to though's who didn't cair about my own vision, and who just wanted the game to be an audio version of their own vision. As a result, the game ended up being a crossover between star trek and dead space and stuck in limbo, something I wasn't happy with. 3, and this one is just out of personal experience so if you can handle this, ignore what i'm about to say and skip onto the next thing. Be careful who you let into your own personal life as a result
  of your development. Their are people who refuse to flat out cair for the person you are, and will only cair to ask you why you have not implemented any of their suggestions, which ties into my next point. 4, remember suggestions are suggestions. It is importent to realize that just as people can give harsh crittisism's, sometimes its required for you to stand up and give it right back, or flat out ignore. The reason I tied this into feature suggestions is because this all comes into one big, importent lesson. You can't please everyone all the time. And last of all, and this is just from my own experience, make sure you enjoy and your happy with your work. If your happy with your work, it doesn't matter who is against it. I've found that the more I'm happy with a game i've done, the more other players who like what i'm doing are happy as well. Considering i've stayed up all night doing coding work now, i'm a bit tired so this is all the 
 material I have right now, and these are just my experiences. But I would like to say this. Don't do what I did and wait 9 or 10 months to realize your not happy with a project. Believe me, the mistakes you'll make can have far lasting consaquences if uyou over stress yourself because your not happy with what your doing. If your not happy with what your doing, take a break, maybe make adjustments in the game mecanics until your happy with it. Believe me i've done just that with dmnb v2 and my other sequel to project alpha, dm prototype, and now that i'm back to my own vision and not paying attention to the bad crittisism, i'm feeling much more better than i've been in a long while.

Hi all, and greetings. I'm back with more news. Since progress was unexpectedly fast with v2 despite being reritten from the core, I feel that it is possible again to start hiring a private alpha testing group. Before you apply by sending me a pm or replying on the topic, please do note the following. 1, this is very very early alpha software. While I can say with sirteny that i've never had to use the error log on the server itself, this is only with me and 2 other testers, both of whom come on not very frequently, online at once. I can't prommiss that the server won't flip out on us, but i'm hoping it doesn't. 2, their are no activities. No asteroid mining, no colony supply delivery, none of that. When you sign up to test, you will be at the most for currently, be testing the very basic space engine i've put together, and will be receiving upgrades as I put them in. In otherwords. You are not on the team to play and relax. You are on the team t

If you have an ishue with said person and it baddly interfeers with your testing, tell me so and drop from the testing team, that's all their is to it. With that in mined, if you are bizzy I will understand, but for though's who haven't told me so, i'd at least like a little bit of testing done when you can get to it. I don't have a specific time limit so their's no you must at least put 1 hour into testing, but I do ask that you at least do your best when you can test. If the server crashes while your online, I want to know about it. In short, I want to get a stable, playable and much more enjoyable game that not only I will be happy with, but that the rest of the people who have enjoyed the dm series and the universe can be happy with out this time round. @DarkI understand that it's a standard convention of sorts, but it did get me thinking.  The reason why BTTF I and II Marty were able to coexist was because they were from two different timelines.  However, the 2015 concept does raise the point of how exactly this all works regardless of familiarity with shows like Doctor Who.however, I fear that if we go over this too much it could disrupt the space time continuum!If Rail Racer 2 was still around/in development, it would've been cool to DeLoreanise the pod/vehicle you travel in...  Or have a track where when you get up to 88 mph you fly through the rest of the track but have things to avoid... (Jets maybe?) Noone knows for sure what happened to that game, as far as I'm aware.Were there ever any BTTF text games?  Serious ones I mean?

I actually looked this up too a while back since I have the same problem, what's happening from what I remember is certain keys use the same cluster of circuits so if you're already holding down a key from that set you can't trigger another one from said set of keys, because the thing's already being usedmy laptop is an acer too, soas far as I know its a hardware thing, and there's no real fix for it that I could findhope this clarifies the problem

Hi.I was reading The Gate topic and thought that it would be interesting to discuss audiogame development environments.My primary development environment is HSP(Hot Soup Processor), a interpreter language created by a Japanese programmer. This isn't what you might expect, I mean it doesn't have any features that make the development of audiogames easier. I've coded all the elements such as map system, simple physics and audio processing, or objects/projectiles management routines. That was a hard work. BK3's main source code is now 1605 KB. lolI can also use BGT, but I prefer HSP because it has powerful external DLL support and TCP library. Another reason is that I've been using HSP for more than 8 years.Please let me hear about your environment, or just discuss programming languages, sound editing tools, or anything related to audiogame development.

Eamon were a series of adventure games for the Apple Ii computer that were mainly produced in the eighties and nineties. Unlike most interactive fiction though, Eamon were definitely combat rpgs, so though there were some games with puzzle elements, the parser was limited, and you had a character with actual stats that fought. The really cool thing was that the system was made to be modable ad to let you take one character through multiple games. So you started in the main hall of the guild of free adventurers where you could train stats, learn some generic magic and buy some basic weapons, however then you could start any adventure with that character, so could have your barbarian wandering through the deathstar with a broadsword or the like. I  never played the originals, but there's a rather nice windows port called Eamon delux which ports about thirty of the original 250 odd games and an enhanced version of the main hall, (more games were going to 
 be added but sadly the developer seems to have fallen off the map sinse we've not heard from him for a while). The item creation system you've got in the wastes reminded me of that used in Eamon, though Eamon's being far older was much more clunky and to get stuff like character dialogue and special conditions people had to essentially add their own code. See The Eamon adventurer's guild site  for more info on Eamon. Actually you might want to leave them a few words about The Wastes, sinse I imagine fans of Eamon would enjoy the game as well. Npc interactions would be cool, and a random rumour system sounds like a great start. What I'd suggest myself is that each rumour has a truth factor. Some rumours, such as how the apocalypse started or some legends about Iguana bill or other things in the wastes have a truth rating of zero, ie, they're complete speculation. <
 p>Others have a positive or negative truth rating to decide whether they're true or false, and based on how useful the information is, the truth rating is higher or lower. For example "My cousin drank an X colour vial and got sick" would have a truth rating of either 3 or minus 3, while "X colour vials will cause your teeth to grow" has a truth rating of either 5 or minus 5. Your character's intelligence is then compared to the truth rating, and for every ten points of intelligence, you can be sure of whether the rumour is true or false, however for every 5 points of intelligence you can make a guess that is likely to be 50 percent correct.For example, the above rumour "My cousin drank an x coloured vial and is sick" if you had int 15 you'd get the message "Your not exactly sure but you think this is a lie" however this hunch would be %50 likely to be incorrect. iff on the other hand you had int 30 you'd
  get the message "You know this is the truth" That's why I suggest progressive truth ratings, which is another use for intelligence, at least until a perception stat is added,  though perhaps if your considering as mentioned on the subreddit also having int used for avoiding ambushes, maybe intelligence should be renamed whits or perception. Anyway, lets say I think the rumours idea is awesome! .

I don't particularly have an issue with the 2015 versions of marty and Jennifer existing at the same time as their past selves, indeed as I recall Doc Brown is adamant that their past and future selves never meet, which doesn't actually happen (blinovich limitation affect), so it isn't as if there would be any issue with shared memories or the like. indeed I'm working on a time travel story myself with an interesting twist on that very idea. As to text games based on back to the future I've not heard of any, but I confess I've not plummed the depths of interactive fiction, so there might well be. All this timy wimy though is making me want to play wise use of time from choiceofgames, which I've heard very good things about .

Player lets you run existing VMs and change a limited number of parameters of the VM; Workstation is the full-fledged VMWare desktop product including all the settings and snapshots features.I own Pro. It costs money but it's the full product, with all the settings I need.

Hello There,This is in general a good topic for those that are not familiair with the situation.From personal experience i can list the below what happened to me.When i still had sight i ran a very big mmo game emulation called Silkroad Online.I had a constant of 1 players online, and most were young kids that wanted the best weapons and items.If they didnt they would kill other players for fun and flame constant against other people here are some examples .- If you dont help me i will hack your server.- I hate you you ugly  you can think of what he said.- And loads more.However not just players do this , i have had many people in my team that gavee players items and such, which caused me to banish them from the team of course.And their response was not to happy as you can imagine.So a heads up its not just the players but it can also be the people on the team.

Hi all!I have a strange problem with the hacking system.I downloaded the hacking easy zip file, I put the files to the sounds directory, I didn't had to replace the files, I hear the clicking sound, not the directions.I tried to reinstall the game, but it didn't helppp.

Hello,I do believe I was one of the people who volunteered a few months ago when you asked on a Spanish mailing list. I remember back then I couldn't get java Access Bridge to work, so I couldn't read what the game was sending out. If you want me to, I can try again. This sounds like a quite interesting game idea.

There is no perfect speed change algorhythm, but if you look on google, there's a bunch that are specialized for music, and it's probably not hard to find a plugin for sound editors which uses that algorhythm. I believe there is something called WSOLA which is I think one of the best for music.

Hello;@slj; The game is still being worked on. I can assure you of that. But, we won't be seeing a release until perhaps summer next year or later.I'm happy to report that the beta build I tried works with NVDA, which is great because now I can press control to stop speech when I need to do so.
