It sounds like a form-related issue, though, and this would resolve it simply by providing the option to more smoothly incorporate speech into the form, rather than relying on speech and Windows controls to work together as desired. Ex, the character creation in Psycho Strike or Grave of Redemption.

Finally found out how to do this. Apparently things have changed a bit since iTunes 12.7, and that's why a lot of the guides are now out of date. There's no longer a tones tab in the iTunes app itself, but there is one when you connect your phone and click the iPhone button, then select tones from the list. You can now simply copy any m4r files from anywhere on your computer then paste them into the tones list when your phone is connected.

This is a nice game, and I like history allot, so it's nice to know another piece of it.Can you imagine the nerve racking hell of doing this in real life, knowing that you could lose your life horribly at any moment from even one small mistake, or just fate, and never see your family or friends again?They wouldn't even be able to find your body!But of course if you don't, who will, and people will starve to death, (a much more drawn out death than falling through the ice and drowning) if you don't take this risk, the life of 1 for the life of many...When I understood that 0 degrees is west in this game, it all got easier.See, you are already facing west at the start, but the game makes it look like your facing north, so just drive forward.You start at 75X, 0Y, the middle of the road, so if you turn west, actually now south, than you will go to the left side of the road and crack threw the thin ice there, because you will decrease your X past 25.I wish the degrees were accurate, I honestly think the conversion makes it less intuitive, not more so.Some tips.Even at 15MS, you can easily reach the edges of the ice quite quickly, so turn as little as possible when avoiding the holes, and move back that way as soon as you can when you pass them.So watch your coordinates closely when turning, and listen for the buzz sound that tells you your going straight again, holding shift will avoid turning too far to the right or left, but remember to release the arrow before releasing shift.Also, remember that speeding up takes quite a long time, because every time you switch gears you lose some speed and then have to regain it, so if their is a stretch of ice ahead where you must go faster, than start speeding up well ahead of it.You will not break through the ice by going too fast, only too slow. It will just be harder to avoid the holes do to having less time to react.Someone asked how to check how many meters you've gone. Just press C, and the second number is that.Press Q to find out the next dangerous stretch faster, but keep in mind that you must select one with tab and shift tab before hand.Also, the islands might be confusing to some people who aren't as familiar with coordinates, I admit I first thought it was a typo in the readme when it said 125 to 1125 X.So basically, they are both on the right side of the road, where the ice is usually thin, 125X, and the first one starts at 9800Y and ends at 10200Y, while the second one starts at 17800Y and ends at 18200Y.It's easier to think of them like peninsulas or sand bars than islands, as they are long, thin strips that extend to the right aways.To get to them safely, what you wana do is (right when you reach the start coordinates of one) turn quickly right while holding down shift until you hear the buzz sound, and make sure your facing 90 degrees, then slow down by changing gears downward (with Z) as fast as the truck will let you.I would try to stop at at least 500X if possible though, to make it easier to get back out again.exiting one is trickier; you wana start up your truck, and while remaining in first gear, turn left while holding down shift again, to around 300 degrees.Once you've done that you should start speeding up to 15MS and checking your coordinates with C, until you get up to about 10100Y, or 18100Y, depending on which island your on, at which point you should quickly turn left to 270 degrees while holding shift.Check your coordinates often, until you reach 125X (no sooner!) and immediately turn right to 0X while holding shift.Good luck, and I'll edit this post if I figure out anything else or find better ways to do stuff.

Here's another problem I'm having with IE lately. I can watch videos fine on youtube, but if I try to watch any live stream, I get the following message: Your browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats available. I have up-to-date flash player installed and enabled, and I have no trouble watching streams on firefox, so have no idea what is wrong with IE. Googling or clicking the links that come with the error message have produced no answers.

At post 91, yeah, this puzzle and other parts of the game like that are a real pain in that we don't get the overall picture, or as much intuitively apparent information as visual players.At Chris, what model of macBook are you using? I seem to remember you mentioning it was a macBook Air? In that case, I'm sorry to say that but these low end machines just aren't supposed to handle Unity and similar mainstream games. Another Unity developer in a different topic, unfortunately I can't remember which one, was already struggling with a similar situation, trying to work around the inner mechanics of Unity itself in order to try to provide an option to disable any and all visual display whatsoever, to make the game work for blind players using underpowered machines like yours. As far as I know, he has not found a working solution yet.Lukas

Even if the script that Ironcross32 suggested was still available for download, it most likely wouldn't resolve your issue anyway if I understand it correctly from your description. How are you making sure that the screen reader has in fact managed to speak the entire chunk of text before feeding it the next one? I guess you haven't thought of that at all and are just using the screen_reader_speak or screen_reader_speak_interrupt functions for everything that is not a question, alert or input box. Right?You will need to implement a prompt that says something like "press enter to continue" for things like that, where Sapi speech is normally continuous and coherent, or implement an artificial screen reader speech delay mechanism where it will attempt to count how long it's approximately going to take to speak a given sentence based on its length and a multiplier that is either hardcoded or that the users themselves can configure. Neither of these is a seamless solution like what Sapi can do, I know, but unfortunately this is and has always been a long known, pretty annoying and still unresolved technical limitation of screen readers in general. They just don't provide a standard API that could accomplish something like what the speaking property of the tts_voice object does, so that you could simply take a look at whether it is still speaking the previous text or not, at any time you like.Lukas

@SBGgamer, [[wow]], I must say, that is quite an impressive number there.  Now, when I was browsing through the Swamp directory to re-assign a lot of the game's keys to my XB1 Elite Controller, I do recall seeing an .ini file called Volumes, or something like that.  If I recall correctly, I do believe the purpose of the file was to be able to quickly assign new values to the volumes of different elements in the game.  I am not sure however, if the volume of player steps is one of the values that can be changed with this file. Perhaps someone on here who has a bit more experience with what exactly the limitations of that file are could provide a bit more insight on this. I'd say it's at least worth taking a look at though.

This is a nice game, and I like history allot, so it's nice to know another piece of it.Can you imagine the nerve racking hell of doing this in real life, knowing that you could lose your life horribly at any moment from even one small mistake, or just fate, and never see your family or friends again?They wouldn't even be able to find your body!But of course if you don't, who will, and people will starve to death, (a much more drawn out death than falling through the ice and drowning) if you don't take this risk, the life of 1 for the life of many...When I understood that 0 degrees is west in this game, it all got easier.See, you are already facing west at the start, but the game makes it look like your facing north, so just drive forward.You start at 75X, 0Y, the middle of the road, so if you turn west, actually now south, than you will go to the left side of the road and crack threw the thin ice there, because you will decrease your X past 25.I wish the degrees were accurate, I honestly think the conversion makes it less intuitive, not more.Some tips.Even at 15MS, you can easily reach the edges of the ice quite quickly, so turn as little as possible when avoiding the holes, and move back that way as soon as you can when you pass them.So watch your coordinates closely when turning, and listen for the buzz sound that tells you your going straight again, holding shift will avoid turning too far to the right or left, but pressing f to double check can do the same.Also, remember that speeding up takes quite a long time, because every time you switch gears you lose some speed and then have to regain it, so if their is a stretch of ice ahead where you must go faster, than start speeding up well ahead of it.You will not break through the ice by going too fast, only too slow. It will just be harder to avoid the holes do to having less time to react.Someone asked how to check how many meters you've gone. Just press C, and the second number is that.Press Q to find out the next dangerous stretch faster.Also, the islands might be confusing to some people who aren't as familiar with coordinates, I admit I first thought it was a typo in the readme when it said 125 to 1125 X.So basically, they are both on the right side of the road, where the ice is usually thin, 125X, and the first one starts at 9800Y and ends at 10200Y, while the second one starts at 17800Y and ends at 18200Y.It's easier to think of them like peninsulas or sand bars than islands, as they are long, thin strips that extend to the right aways.To get to them safely, what you wana do is (right when you reach the start coordinates of one) turn quickly right while holding down shift until you hear the buzz sound, and make sure your facing 90 degrees, then slow down by changing gears downward (with Z) as fast as the truck will let you.I would try to stop at at least 500X if possible though, to make it easier to get back out again.exiting one is trickier; you wana start up your truck, and while remaining in first gear, turn left while holding down shift again, to around 300 degrees.Once you've done that you should start speeding up to 15MS and checking your coordinates with C, until you get up to about 10100Y, or 18100Y, depending on which island your on, at which point you should quickly turn left to 270 degrees while holding shift, then double check with F.Check your coordinates often, until you reach 125X (no sooner!) and immediately turn right to 0X while holding shift and quickly double checking with F.Good luck, and I'll edit this post if I figure out anything else or find better ways to do stuff.

Questions regarding this evil vague cameras puzzleRegarding the cameras puzzle, how do the cameras work? The way I imagine it as a 5x3 grid with the coordinates in the form dxy. So cameras should be able to see as far in a straight line as possible before hitting something, right?Where exactly are cameras located? Does each square have one? If not, how do you tell which squares have them? How much does one rotation turn all cameras and in which direction?

The road of Code

Any programmer will tell you that getting from an idea to a finished project takes a lot of hard work and a lot of pacience. And of course, lines and lines and lines of code. Code which, at times, will be extremely unstable and cause crashes and weird behavior you don't expect. So that road to the final destination is not an easy one to travel, much like The Road Of Life. The name refers to both a Physical road leading out of Leningrad during World War II as well as a new Game that was translated into English today, in which you become a truck driver carying supplies. Of course, being this is World War II you have enemy Fighters to worry about on-top of the fact the road may not be lava, but it's ice which can crack at any time. You can leave your feedback about the game and download it by clicking the link above.Another thing you have to be careful not to do when programming is catching a virus. Or getting hacked. Both of these could potentialy result in serious problems an frustrations. But hey, at least you don't have the whole planet to worry about...If, however, you'd like to go on a hacking adventure, I'm happy to say that after some delays Code 7: Episode 1 has finally received the update implementing VI mode. If you haven't heard about the game yet, the developers took to Kickstarter last year to get the game finished, releasing Episode 0 as a free demo which also included accessibility for Blind users. In the game, you have to prevent the Code 7 virus from reaching Earth and killing anyone on it by hacking into different computers, as well as talking to and guiding various characters around obstacles. If you like GameBooks, Interactive Fiction, and command lines, this game is definitely for you. Depending on the fan issue, it probably needs to be replaced.  That's the drawback to Apple...while their hardware is exemplary, it is extremely proprietary, and their designs do not lend themselves to self-service (I have a MacBook Pro).  Unless you have the specialized tools, you will have to turn it over to Apple for repair.

[[wow]]! I haven't had a chance to play with the new version, but it sounds like Microsoft has been busy as beavers.One thing that handwriting reader might be useful for is greeting cards. They often use fonts that don't OCR very well, but a hand writing reader might be able to recognize and read them.

Well Crimbo is a busy time for musicians. We were singing last night at someone's carol service, which also included some rather amusing christmas anicdotes and songs. one of my favourite involved  the parents of two mischief making brothers, eight and ten years old respectively. The brothers kept on playing tricks on people and and generally causing havoc, and the parents  started to despair of sorting them out. Then a new priest came to town to take over at the church. The parents heard how the new priest had once been the headmaster of a boy's school, and had a reputation as a strict disciplinarian who was very good at sorting out naughty boys, so they asked if he'd talk to the brothers. The priest said he would, but that it would be better if he talked to them one at a time. the younger brother, the eight year old went in first. The priest met him at the door, stood over him, shook his finger in the boy's face and said very sternly "Where is god?" The boy looked up. The priest repeated in an even harsher tone "Where is god!" The priest then bent down and grabbed the boy by the collar, then said in a very grim voice "looking right into the boy's face where! is! God!" Whereupon the boy birst into tears and ran for the door. running home, he went and hid in the closet and was joined there by his elder brother. "What's wrong?" the elder brother asked. the younger boy turned to him and said "we're in real trouble now, god's gone missing and they think we did it!" .Okay funny stories aside, the service was actually rather lovely, which was doubly nice given that yesterday morning when trying to get a few of the articles I need to hopefully finally! finish my Phd (which I need to start working on again next year), the library proved to be completely arsy and probably will require me to run in and be belligerent at them in person, which will be quite irritating, since it's hard enough to work on the dam thing now. On the other hand we had a lovely day today, trotting out to look at crimbo decorations with my parents (we now have quite a wonderful light up star in our living room). To sellebrate my brother and his girlfriend getting engaged, Mrs. Dark and I want to take them out for a meal, and to cellebrate the  disney corporation wanting to make even more money, he suggested we all go and see the last Jedi, though being as Mrs. Dark has refused to watch force awakens up to now (she was ensensed when she heard about Han solo), it'll be interesting, indeed we're probably going to watch Starwars 7 tonight. mrs. Dark has promised physical violence if anything happens to Luke skywalker in the next film so it should be interesting. Games wise, I've again been surprised at just how addictive flexible survival has proved, especially since you don't even have to log in to the mud but can just pull up the web page and spend your patrol points battling or doing social actions to advance your  character quickly (something I wish other web games had), though I've taken a little time out from that to play a few other games such as treasure islands and crazy party. so things are good over here, if rather cold right now .

I think you have a point there Ghorthalon. some of the good things I got out of  advanced study of philosophy are 1, the ability to disagree amicably, and 2, the ability  to actually regard being wrong as a potentially good thing, since it's nice to learn something.That being said, i will confess my ability to tolerate people who hold beliefs for unexamined reasons, especially when such beliefs lead to directly unethical  consequences is less than stellar. Differences in beliefs I can stand, and being wrong I can stand even more, however a person who backs up an immoral  position on the basis that it is "natural" or "inspired by god" or "intended by evolution" or whatever other excuse is used to prop up their own sense of superiority,  I do not tolerate very well :d.

Interesting, I always did think Soul Calibur was the first fighting game to do that. You learn something new every day haha.Anyway,  I think articles and videos mention guest chars right now and will continue to do so because we're talking about soul calibur, and everyone talks about guest characters when discussing soul calibur these days, seems that way to me at least. I would also think that guest chars bring people to the series, so they'd want to keep that topic alive. But yeah, definitely nothing newsworthy yet, just a bunch of top 10 lists and people saying which guests should absolutely be included in the game for various reasons.

Yeah I have tested all the new features but one. The new things are, new handwriting recognition channel, new color identifier channel, new light identifier channel, and finally, and probably the most useful, new currency identifier channel that can do more than U.S. dollars. I've tested all but handwriting, which I will do, and if it can read my writing, [[wow]]. Anyway, the color thing is cool, it can do one or more colors in an area, the light thing plays a tone, the lower the tone, the darker it is where the camera is pointing, the higher the tone, the brighter it is. I only have U.S. bills, but it got all of them correct, and it can identify them  regardless of orientation.

Again, SC 2, 4 and 5 were the only ones to have guest characters. 2 had one on each console, and 4 started with the same and eventually all star wars characters were available on both platforms. Having said all that though, I'm interested to see what guest characters will be included this time round.Technically, the first fighting game to include a guest character started in X-Men, Children of the Atom, where Street Fighter's Akuma was a guest character outside of the marvel universe. Then the Street Fighter Alpha series brought in characters from Final Fight, which have since become a mainstay in the series.

@Rob, that is exactly my point.  Let's exclude accessibility...your OS shouldn't corrupt user profiles for no reason; apps shouldn't just randomly stop working and crash when there's been absolutely no input from a user; settings should not automatically change without input from a user (i.e., icons appearing or disappearing from system tray, which means that the registry values associated with that are being manipulated automatically by the OS, even though the user has set their own preferences, without the user's knowledge); native browsers shouldn't be utter trash; simple updates to the OS itself should not touch, let alone alter, your boot sector to the point that it cannot be repaired and you are forced to completely reinstall the OS.  And when there is an error, the messages regarding that error should contain more than some vague information like, x program has stopped working...no shit, Sherlock; I knew that when it stopped responding, or locked up my PC.  True, if you're lucky you can get the associated hexadecimal error code (there are plenty of cases where not even that is provided, which is ridiculous), but even that information can be vague and unhelpful in terms of troubleshooting.  again, there's no excuse for that sort of crap, given that the company releasing the OS has enough money to hire the cream of the crop, most brilliant, absolute best in designers, engineers, and coders.

Everytime I extract the archive on my pc, my antivirus detects a trojan called win32/tiggre!plock;I looked it up on the net and this particular virus seems to come from websites which have been contaminated somehow. So now I fear that the crazy party website might be infected with this. I really only got it after downloading beta 55, and I tried it multiple times. lol my aunt bought 2 laptops from some store on tv that had windows 10, a 1.6ghz processor, 27gb ssd, and the processor is an intel celeron. they should be put in jail for selling crap like that. sent it back the next day. couldn't even run foobar without the audio going crazy and slowing down. also the CPU in there stayed at 100% usage always.

absolutely! and I'm honestly neither very far nor particularly good even at a lot of games I've beaten (Most of those I can beat regularly I still don't get 20s on.) But if they go at a constant speed, maybe try to keep a mental map in your mind and try to pinpoint where each one is at any given time? It helped in a lot of platformers I played when I could see well to remember the movement rates of platforms/enemies and obstacles so even if I wasn't looking at it at the time, I knew where they were. I don't know the game or how it works, but something I would try if it works like that. And as long as we're griping at our pet peeves in the minigames. God! I hate water!

I think people are also scared of being wrong. Humans love to be right and it gives them immense pleasure when they find out they were indeed right. Maybe a certain sense of superiority. Thusly, some people can't let go easily and will hold on to what duct tapes their world or view together in a coherent manner, at least for them. Because we also don't like it when something we believed to have known for years suddenly turns out to be wrong.I tend not to have too many issues with that personally, I know I'm wrong on many levels and I might even just be rambling on and adding nothing to this conversation, but a lot of people need to learn to appreciate learning itself and not defend their point with claws and teeth unless they can back up their reasoning. That said, I think one of my problems is being quite heated during arguments so I just try to avoid them at all costs.

Almost every article or video I've read or watched on the game mentions guest characters in some way, so yeah I'd call that hype lol. Or maybe it's not hype, maybe it's just normal to talk about guest characters when discussing SC, because everyone knows that they're going to be in the game. I was actually under the impression that the Soul Calibur series started the trend of including guest characters in fighting games, or at least made it hugely popular to do so, but I could be wrong about that. I figured I'd bring up guest characters, because that's usually what I see people discussing with the most enthusiasm when talking about Soul Calibur, which could very well be a coincidence. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, the fact that Link was in the gamecube version of SC2 is what got me into the series in the first place.What I am most excited about with 6 however is the game being a reboot, because no one will be killed off which means no limets as to which characters can be in the game. Also, I'm betting that the story mode will be improved.

I have two main computers.My main daily driver is a MacBook Air 13 inch 2017. Intel Core I5  5350, 8 GB of RAM, nothing fancy but for what I do it's enough. Music production works, game coding and coding in general works fine, it runs well and the batteries last for a while.My gaming PC is pretty old by modern standards but I haven't run into problems with it yet. Some Gigabyte motherboard, I think it's the Z87? Still has 8 GB of RAM, it used to have 16 but one stick died and I just didn't see the need to replace it, an Intel I7 4770 and a Nvidia GTX 660.I tend to not push my systems too hard. I'm more of a productive person when I get idle time, so I'd rather spend my time creating stuff rather than trying to play games that I can't fully enjoy, and the games that I love playing run on my laptop, and the games I need more power for run on my desktop just fine.  And since I don't develop games that are heavy on the GPU I haven't run into issues yet, even with my weak mobile setup. Even complex projects run in Logic without underruns  so I'm not worried.  It's what you do with the power that you have, rather than having the power you never use. I guess. Maybe I'm just trying to justify my setup. I really shouldn't.

Hello all, I love the game a lot and just bought it a couple of days ago. How ever, I'm stuck in Ep 0 where the robot is trying to get through the elevator door after pressurizing it to unlock the door. I've tried pressurizing the door to -138 to bypass the robot from getting through but no luck. Is there anything that I'm missing? Thanks.

I think we're sailing to off-topic waters here, but a few things worth noting:Narrator had seen a huge improvement since Windows 8, and it is fantastic in Windows 10, it has braille support, and it can be definitely used to access the internet, as well as install Windows without sighted assistance.Regarding Apple, the built-in voices are indeed licensed by Apple, however, o the Mac, there are 3rd party voices available, for example from Acapela.I have switched to a Mac after using Windows for about 10 years, because I was unable to stand all its shortcomings, and things have reached a state where it randomly corrupted my user profile, open dialogs kept crashing, etc. The Mac is not perfect, then again nothing is, but at least I don't have to worry about whether my computer will boot up when I wake up or come home. It works, and it does what it is intended to and then some more. You have both worlds, Unix and Mac at the same time.On a sidenote, before anyone thinks that that computer had a hardware failure, a friend of mine is happily using it for two years now, running Ubuntu on it.Rob

I do have some minor say these days as to what gets into sports titles, but all types of accessibility need support, so it can be spread thinner than I'd like. Outside of sports, I currently only relay feedback and provide advice when asked - which means if you want to see more change outside of sports, I absolutely need your feedback to do so. Feedback is how I was able to get changes into Madden, so it can be effective. Feedback for sports titles also helps me give requests extra weight, making them more likely to happen.One step at a time.- Karen Stevens

I wouldn't actually say SC is known for guest characters. SC 2 was the only one that was praised for its guest character choices. 4's inclusion of Darth Vader, Yoda and the Apprentice weren't terribly well received, especially Yoda's overpowered condition compared to everyone else. Ezio in SC 5 was a little better, but I still wouldn't say this series is as known for its guest characters on the same level as NRS games. Especially after how many one of characters thre were in SC 5, people will be more concerned about this game's base roster than any guest characters that might be coming. And I'm not quite sure if the hype you're talking about is yours or the hype of other gamers. haha. Bt we will just have to wait and see! @pulseman45, I don't think that will be coming back.. that was a mechanic from Soul Edge AKA Soul Blade in the US if I remember. The unarmed fighting was way underpowered, which has something to do with why it hasn't been seen since that game, I think. But I was glad to see a similar mechanic come back in 4 and 5 which effected the damage to a certain part of the body if an equivalent piece of armour was broken. Though now having said that, Heihachi did do a good job as the only unarmed character in Soul Calibur 2 on the ps2, so something clearly went right there...

I've always understood that Microsoft wasn't trying to be an assistive technology provider, but to show the beginnings of what could be done and left it to other companies to provide accessibility tools that are robust enough for full time use.Apple on the other hand provides things like Voice Over because they can't stand the idea of somebody other than themselves having some control over the user experience. Ever notice that the only TTS voices available for Apple hardware are voices that Apple themselves provide?I think I like Microsoft's approach a lot better than Apple's.I believe that the stability of Windows depends a lot on the skills of the user. I had an install of Windows XP run perfectly well for 12 years before I decided to replace it with Windows 7.Anyway, that is all I'm going to say about it.
