but most people aren't actually very good at it.And once you grow up a bit you can admit that to your self, but if you get a bite, than 75% of the time it's going to be a 15 year old with massive knowledge gaps, or someone of any age who will flake out on you at the first sign of hard work.This includes my self, and many people I have known in the ag sound design community, that's why I don't offer any more, I'm just not in the right mindset for practice right now, or for keeping with a project for that matter.Drew, Kai, Gorth, Robjoy, Oriol, and Sam are the only ones I know who have really demonstrated their skill on the scale of an actual full project, and they are often busy, plus some are better than others.Your better off just asking around or searching for sound libs and doing the work your self, you can do plenty with clever mixing of stock sounds and basic knowledge of effects, VST's and HRTF, and unless you find someone just as passionate about this specific project as you, than getting someone to really do something cinematic for such a small game is going to be very difficult.

Actually Ironcross my brother often uses his Ipad  and documents to go for major writing tasks along with a bluetooth keyboard.This is because since his laptop has his legal notes on, he really can't! use it for anything else or take it anywhere that isn't related to his clients since you can imagine how strict legal confidentiality is. This even goes for things  like attending law society lectures and training courses, so  needed something he could take notes on and then transfer them later, this is one reason he's got an Iphone and an Ipad (though he also values the large print on the Ipad screen, so I  necessarily automatically call all tablets toys just because that's what people tend to use them for. As I said, I could see myself getting a windows tablet instead of a laptop in a few years,  though manifestly time will tell on that one.

I've spotted a few in Choice of the Cat, when I'm not laughing my way through the story, and a few here and there in Mecha Ace and Killing time but on the whole I'd say the writing is mostly good to very good across their own games, the hosted are a diffferent story.Also whoever said Slammed up there originally, yes, go play that if you want a fun wrestling tale. It even got on Rock Paper Shotgun when it was released.Also I'll give a nod to.the Deathless series, those are fantastic ones. Oh and also NOLA is Burning, simply because that has a fascinating setting.

@John:Wrong, the Mate desktop is perfectly useable. The Arch installer Nuno linked to works fine. Ubuntu is perfectly useable.@Angel: Speaking of, if you want to try Ubuntu I'd say make sure you know what yer getting into, honestly. Arch can be tricky BUT if you set it up right...it's a breeze. I'd also suggest Solus for its simplicity, the Mate desktop one that is or Gnome desktop versions. I'm partial to the Mate one. Or Linux Mint actually, that works fine tooo.

This is my third time through the game and I'm still wandering aimlessly through the forest and ruins and temple and lumber yard looking for one last camp site. I swear I've cleared them all. I know I did. I'm sure I did. But if I go back to tell the captain the good news, no, I'm not done yet. I even marked them beforehand this time and there's still one. There's just one more. Still out there. Untouched, undisturbed, unmolested. Could I get an idea where they all are? I'm missing one. Provided you've got flash enabled in Ie, just  on the "embedded object" in the window and wait a while, the game will load and a page will open with new game, data etc that you can click on. I personally downloded the sdf file and now have it on my computer insteadd, since as the game isn't being updated anymore there is no reason not to play it on your pc (saving is easier that way too).Btw, still no news on the remake mod, I would recommend anyone interested please register on the corruption of champions forums and put a word in since if the developers know there is a little more demand for this they might make it a higher priority.

Thanks for the great write up Dark!I am finding the battery usage issues very strange. It has never been reported as a problem in the past 2 years so I suspect it may be something related to the Voice Over support. Apologies for those of you that it is affecting, I will let you know how I go with investigating it.Also I am getting several reports of the gold per hour not working for people but once again it seems to only affect Voice Over users which is quite perplexing. If it is affecting anyone here then please let me know

As long as you send your work in batches of decent size all's fine, and if you can make sure you're not duplicating existing work before you send it, that'll cut down most of the processing time.Its probably best for us to discuss the details over email, but the short version is don't worry about it. Based on what I'm reading in this thread, it seems as though the problem isn't windows so much as it is some piece of software running constantly and hogging your resources.I'd advise trying to resolve that problem first before you attempt an OS switch. Moving to linux is not going to be easy. The installation is the simplest part of the process by leaps and bounds,.You should probably bring up task manager (ctrl shift escape), select the details tab and the "show processes from all users button), sort by CPU and or ram usage, and figure out whose using up your resources. Once you know that, we can start helping you resolve the issue.It is technically possible to use a linux machine for daily computing tasks as a VI/blind person. It is quite a bit more painful, and you will be doing massive amounts of research to figure out simple things (like where to find flash drives once plugged in for example).

Okay to anyone still reading this thread I've just tried shark game, also called strange ocean also called cerial sharks (really not sure what the dev is calling this one).  which I have to say is pretty awesome. find it Here on this page The screen layout takes a wee bit of getting used to which I'll write up on the db page, but what is cool is the game itself. Start off playing as a shark eating fish, recruit other fish and ventually form a weird under water civilization complete with kelp farming crabs, dolphin workers and coralglass based technology. The descriptions are amusing (make sure you have the "toggle descriptions" button pressed), but what is the best thing about this is the reset system since it doesn't just reset the game with a bonus or two, but also sends you to another world with slightly different  conditions and a mix of different technology to get, meaning you have to reset a few times to see everything. What is really cool is each world also has different conditions, for example the second world I tried had a polluted ocean where tarr was killing see creatures slowly, meaning I needed to concentrate on production, but as a bonus I started with some extra item productions machines and a high science count, I even found a purifyer later on which removed the tarr and put production rates back to normal.doing a bit of googling apparently there is even an ending if you do 100 resets, though that will take some time, still if the game stays as interesting as it does it could be pretty cool. Oh one other odd thing is that production continues while off line which sort of makes life a bit easier .

The error handling in the game isn't good because he hadn't found out how to track and display exceptions. Thus, it is extremely difficult to solve, unfortunately. But it's sure that the Ruby runtime is throwing an exception. Your environment doesn't have anything to do with it.

Sure but most people aren't actually very good at it.And once you grow up a bit you can admit that to your self, but if you get a bite, than 75% of the time it's going to be a 15 year old with massive knowledge gaps, or someone of any age who will flake out on you at the first sign of hard work.This includes my self, and many people I have known in the ag sound design community, that's why I don't offer any more, I'm just not in the right mindset for practice right now, or for keeping with a project for that matter.

Hmmm Orko that is odd. Back when I used my phone for media playback it could keep going for a good ten hours, and most games didn't take that much from it so long as you only opened one at a time. The only major issue I noticed with battery life and games are those with an ongoing timer such as crafting kingdom or land of livia which is strange. Usually for me most places (I go including trains), have power points so if I'm on a long journey I'm usually okay, and if I'm out and away from a power point I'm usually too busy to be playing games on my phone, this is why it was such a surprise when my Iphone 5 battery went bye bye and barely kept ten minutes charge.Actually I have my Iphone resting on the arm of my setee beside me playing land  livia while I'm writing this.

Well that is changing rather badly since in 2012 the government basically told universities they could charge what the hell they liked and so fees literally trebbled over night. I think the average is now about £9000 a year,(roughly $23000),  which isn't quite as bad as the states, but is getting that way. i suspect eventually Britain will be like the states where only the extremely rich or those who  get some sort of financial assistance will go to university, though then again, there is no sign of the numbers of random degrees dropping or of the government stepping in and stopping student lones from having their idiotic interest rates since they're still under the bizarre impression that all graduates will earn massive wages. i'll confess I was lucky in that not only did I do my degree before! all this stupidity when it was actually affordable to do so, but also because  doctorate started before then it isn't covered by the fee restrictions, though I confess it is very! irritating to me that I can't now go and do a degree in voice.Of course the above stated social bennifits of going to university are still there, at least in Britain, I still remember my time at uni as the best in my life and the only point I was fully accepted, it's just a shame now people will need to be in debt for the rest of their lives and likely not given a qualification that employers will value afterwards,  of course since these days most employers aren't looking for people who can actually think anyway and just want corporate cogs they can slot into the prophet machine, it's not too surprising.

I do recall some typos in dead man walking, but they didn't spoil the game for me, I liked the different paths and how things worked out, particularly with how your character didn't have to be an idiot, although a few sections were a bit pulpy for my liking,  e.g finding your wife gagged and tied up by an escaped prisoner in your house who you then had to fight off. Still I did finish the game, got a good ending and liked the lack  random deathtrapes and the descriptions of various monstrous zombie types.

@1664I thought so though the post I replied to originally seemed to imply the item could be used at the beginning of New Game=, given that I haven't seen the volcanic variant.Actually though I guess you could get it pretty early on if you played the game right (start quests in town, go to mines, get goblin loot, then go back and get weapon).I like have an overpowered weapon or two given that some of the enemies are pretty tricky to take down, particularly given that the weapon itself is a forged reward for completing the quest.

I've been through both of those. Tell me something new, please! I've come through the door from the other side but can't go any further! I'm just glad there's a save back there because some of the rooms that got me there are hard to navigate. I reiterate, I've been through all three doors leading into/out of the save room north of the one with the stone board and the crystals. I've beaten both minibosses and entered that room from both east and west. I am still stuck. There is no way to go further that I can see and I haven't lighted all the crystals yet.

hi this game is really cool, and I really like it. Even the fre chapter 0 can keep you entertained for a good while. Do you guys know why the game is taking 82% battery when I have it open on my iPhone 6s, even when my phone is locked? Like it has no sounds, and the graphics probably aren't that intensive. My only guess is that it makes too many calls to the server so that things like campfire and timers are kept up to date because yeah, my phone went from 100 to 20 in like 7 hours, and this is a brand new phone and it had taken 82% of the battery usage. So there's certainly some optimization possible. But great game!

The master forged warhammer seems grossly overpowered. But it could be other things contributing to that too. I'm on my third go around, and I tend to fight all the encounters unless I'm just trying to rush through something. So I'm up over level 100. Even still, the volcanic warhammer, which is what I've used when I've started the game, though powerful, does significantly less damage. Even on hard difficulty, the master forged warhammer is pretty much guaranteed to kill everything in one hit. The only reason it doesn't is because it missed...

Ehh, but in oreo, I must press buttons by 3 seconds, this is too long. In ndroid 7 I had to press buttons by 1 second, when you want to write short messages, you lose a lot of time.

I've been through this battle many a time, clean the drive completely and reinstall the OS. And if you're going to be pirating, at least have the good sense to not use public trackers. I've successfully cleaned a system once such a thing has befallen it, but that as occurred far less often than the need to reinstall it.

Hi guys,A Little update:I downloaded Ccleaner and found a few Things that seemed unusual.But as I wanted to uninstall them, it said that the specified file was gone.Now, I clicked delete on every of those entries because i thought that would delete all the data.But apparently, it only deleted the entry in the registry.Now I fear that there migh stillt be  some data Floating around belonging to those files that I can't get rid of now because the Problem didn't go away.Any hints?The good News is that today, I figured out how I could still use IE with the pop-up announcements.

Lol Ethin, it's not like they shower you with money. If amounts shown here compared to uptime ... you're probably being given less than 5 percent of what you make. So my advice is if you're going to do bitcoin mining, do it yourself rather than suck the * of some other shady person. I've got a friend working with bitcoin, it's not bitcoin mining, but as it's not counted as real currency it's not like he has to pay taxes or anything. He says that three hours aday approx for 5 days aweek gives out anywhere from only 800 amonth to 4000 amonth converted back into raw cash. I don't have a quarrel about bc mining because hell, you're just stealing from people who are probably going to use it for shady things anyway.

Ok, I'm going to try and be constructive here, and give you suggestions about future development. the thing about those online games is that they usually have something unique, something that apeals to one group of players and drives away another, something that tries to elevate it over the competition. This is basically a skaled down redspot. My advice is to try and add more strategy and tactics into the gameplay. Your map system seams to be 3d, which means it has a lot of potential. What you might want to think about is how you can make interesting terrain to explore. Make the map something other than a bear empty area that just spawns items and people just kill and kill on. Have things to climb up and down on, places to fall from, and add the ability to shoot up and down, which I think you already sort of do with the shift+u, j and m keys. Also, one thing I'd love to see is actual bullet physics. Say you shoot from the top of a building, your bullet's not going to just travel straight even if you shoot in a straight line before the game just despawns it. If you're higher up, the bullets should ark towards the ground. Similarly, a good edition to the game would be things you could hide behind to give you some cover. Those could of course be destroyed, though they would respawn again in time. A change in the control skeme would be great. What I'd suggest is W, A, S and d being move forward, back, left and right, while either the left and right arrows or the mouse left or right turn and the up or down keys climb. I suggest going a bit rtr on the controls, so having either ctrl or the left mouse button to shoot while the right mouse button reloads. You could move the tracking key to o or pressing down the mouse wheel instead of w, checking ammo could be moved to z, etc. The method of tracking redspot and tk use when looking for players is not exactly the most accurate. What I'm thinking of is to make the map smaller, but make it more interesting to navigate, such as a building or town like setting, with walls, pathways etc. People would be able to navigate around using ambiences and other clues, and the only way you'd have to look for players is maybe the p key to check people near you and a radar that would tell you when you're lined up to an approximate angle of fire that *might* hit them. Also, please, please, please don't turn this into a power leveling game like rs and tk are. One way you could do this is to implement a number of maps that the server rotates between, say every hour or so, causing players to lose weapons and health, and start over in the new map. If you're too lazy to make more maps, simply add a thing that just kicks off everyone every hour or so thus resetting them. Bases or forts or whatever are really not a good idea for a game such as this, and it just shows in rs. All it does is encourage powerplaying, grinding, and numbers over skills. Most of the fps games you have listed can only be played so well if you have a large number of health or bullets or whatever compared to everyone else. If you're a shit player, you're gonna have shit ods no matter how much stuff you have. Finally, to encourage trust between players and admins, don't have the admins play, not on their main accounts at least. If your admins do want to play, have them use seperate, alternate accounts that don't have any admin privilages. If they see something that shouldn't be a thing, they can log in on their admin character, punish the offenders, then go away again. In most fps games, the admins or devs rarely play for various reasons, the least of those reasons being that they were produced by large studios with a lot of developers and designers working on one game. They probably have better things to do than hang out on their own game in their spare time.

C cleaner is also great for removing addons etc, I've  indeed found it  easier to use than Ie's own interface, especially for addons microsoft wants you to keep or ones which are hidden, not to  removing stuff from your computer. Restore points are okay if the problem is a changee in settings or directions, but they don't actually delete anything or remove any programs etc, which is why I personlly started looking into antiviruses and tools like C cleaner and malware bites instead.Then again, I've not tried restore points on windows 10 since thankfully I've not needed them so it's entirely possible my info is out of date. For tech skills, I wouldn't try installing an os myself, especially if there was info I wanted to keep. Yes, i backup every which way since sunday and I'm used to configuring things as I like them, but it's too easy to arse things up during an install, especially given that accessibility of os installation is a bit iffy anyway.

The reason is that someone here didn't know that the game is still in the alpha version and is just giving away to those who wants it and is not released into the forum just because we already knew that You guys would say such a thing that the game is a redspot clone which isn't really. And why would we just code a clone of redspot and release it and expect it to get better than rs? actually, no. Its just that if you've played both redspot and tk, you've basically played this. It works *exactly* the same way. Log in, work out what weapon does the most damage, track someone and then shoot at them mindlessly till someone drops, or you run out of ammo. No skill involved, just who can mash arrows, w and control faster (btw no right control to fire is absolutely horrible and the tracking key should be changed), and a game of numbers, who basically has more health. From the time I spent with it, it seamed like basically redspot with changed sounds and weapon names. The fact that the controls are almost exactly the same really doesn't help.

So I beat both the minibosses (took me a few tries) and opened both the east and west doors into the save room, but when I go south and press one of the switches, I can't get to the other ones no matter what I do! I try to follow the ting sounds and I just can't go beyond a certain point. I'm stuck in a tiny area with nowhere to go but back the way I came, and going in and back out doesn't help! I went all the way back around to the front and found out I've only lit one crystal despite following both paths to their end.

Cave of Marvel, weird bug?

Hi all,So for some reason, whenever I try to paly Cave of Marvel, and I find a set of stairs, if I press enter to try to go to the next floor of the cave, the game literally exits without doing anything. I am not sure what's happenign. I have made sure that my keyboard is set to Japanese, and the game also displays Japanese just fine. I am not sure what's happening or if there's someting I still have to set up.

That and the state stepping in where it has no damn business, telling parents its not OK to spank their kids, well, look what that lead to. Spanking isn't abuse, and you can do all the timeouts and stand in the corners and take this and that away, but it just doesn't work. You need to give them a line, a hard line in the sand and this is what you don't cross. When they have that, then the chances you will have to spank them go way down, like in my entire childhood, I think I was spanked like maybe 4 or 5 times, not that often.I just saw a video on facebook yesterday, and its not like this is a new thing, but it was a compilation of kids acting completely insane, talking back to their parents and so forth, yelling, screaming, getting violent. And these were younger kids, not teens. Actually the parents were very calm, I suspect because they were the ones filming it but still.SO you use spanking as a corrective tool, a motivator, I mean I can see how people see it as barbaric, its not a viewpoint I can't see both sides of, because you sort of are using pain as a motivator, and you are using fear of that pain being repeated as a means of keeping the kid in line. I do feel its necessary despite that, however. Also, parents need to take a more active role in just figuring what is going on in their kids' lives. I think the problem is now that we're starting to see parents of the millennial generation which is part of the problem. Another part is lack of supervision. You may end up having a kid grow up into a real piece of shit adult if you don't do something now, but then again, I've seen some bratty ass kids grow up to be decent people, the point is that you can't predict how things will turn out, you can't rely on them coming to their senses. You need to start discipline young, and no, all discipline does not need to include spanking, that other stuff has its place too, but you just can't rely on it. I mean, fear does kind of keep kids in line. It's not like its a daily fear like I'm scared of my parents, scared to be around them, its more a knowledge OK I better not go up to them and scream fuck you, or guess what...I think the reason kids freak out so bad these days is because of lack of that fear, they literally have nothing to be afraid of because their parents either talk calmly, or yell back, they take stuff, but the kids probably get it back anyway because they just keep going at the parents until they give in. It should never get to that point, it should be stopped well before that point, and young, like as a baby even, yoo want to teach them no and stuff as a baby, so by the time they reach toddler stage and getting into everything, now I"m not suggesting spank the kid for running around and being a kid, but its like for the worst of the offenses.Having a kid so far out of line like that just makes things so much worse in the home. The parents probably already have stressers of their own, maybe they have financial burdens, maybe they're worried about losing their job because the see the writing on the wall, and they think they'll be replaced soon, whatever, life has its stressers, then you add that into the mix, the bratty kid? It makes things exponentially worse. No you dread coming home because it's gonna be chaos, you dread waking up in the morning to get them up and out the door to school, work becomes a haven, an escape, and the presure doesn't just go to a certain point and stop, it mounts every day, its unhealthy, and psychologically devastating. It may even get the parents fighting among themselves and lead to a divorce that then creates a ton more problems, so its a cycle that needs to never get started, and if it seems like its becoming an issue, steps need to be taken to end it..Now I hear you saying, but you're not a parent, how could you know anything about raising kids? Truth is, there's a lot I don't know about it, and I have no desire whatsoever to step into fatherhood in my life. I can only draw conclusions from my own life and observations of my surroundings, some of which include parents who handle their kids badly, and parents who handle their kids exceptionally well. I don't think it takes any special qualifications to share observations, just a methodical approach and the attempt to remain objective, and see both sides of a point.

You will need two sound cards for that, or one with multiple outputs, if you try that with an onboard card or something of that nature, you'll lose speech and system sounds entirely. ASIO needs the entire thing to itself so it doesn't allow any sounds through.

Hello @joseph,thinking with some friends, we think if on the next updates, can you add a small feature.When you walk over a beacon marked on the map (custom an system beacons) the game spocken (with the screen reader) the name of the marked beacon, so with that, you can know that are directly over that. Or at least, mark the added beacons on the map, so you can see on that that you're nearby of one of the beacons. Currentli if you want to know if a beacon is nearby you, you have to well, try activing one to one to see what happen.So that is all. ¡thanks for all!

I think it could be audio described, but not on the fly, it's going to take some thought and planning before recording starts. One thing the narrator will have to do is to describe the puzzle to be solved as well as the chamber containing the puzzle. Simply describing the room or rooms you are in would leave a lot about the game unsaid.@ironcross32Do you have enough vision to play this type of game or did you loose your vision recently and played the game before you lost it? Just curious, don't answer if you don't want to.

Yes, yes you can...Although in active alpha development, my friend at azslow.com has created a plugin that allows Reaper to read the contents of your saved Cakewalk Sonar projects and open them in Reaper.  I have been using the open Alpha for a while and have been happy with the results.  Follow the information here:http://www.azslow.com/index.php/board,13.0.html

LOL have you guys heard of restore points? while I'm dealing with reinstallations over here, we need to remember that not everyone has the same ability, as some of us do. hell, I can reinstall windows 8, and most likely 7 as well. but anyway. mail.ru was actually installed into my chrome once. a factory reset of chrome did the job. try removing addons in your browser, clearing browser histories, factory resets, and what not. also, if on win10, look in the recently added in the start menu, it may just show you what was recently added, and that may be something to go by. my win10 had a yahoo power search, and it showed up in there, so it was easy to get rid of. on 8.1, though, it was a bit more of a guess work.

Oh yes, this would be a treat.  I know a blind lady who sings and plays keyboards, and I, myself, can play just about anything.    Not sure if anything exists like this, but the best place to start something would be facebook, most likely.

If you're not using a hardware interface or mixer, then the best solution would be to use ASIO4All.    This will allow you to select what inputs and outputs you want to convert to ASIO and additionally select multiple inputs at the same time for recording in Reaper.

That thing is so buggy though the rotation package i mean. You need to fix some functions yourself like the turning function. Also using it is a bit tricky if you don't want your player's coordinates be 1.3332342, 1.554636, 1.323456
