In short though, yeah if you really don't want to mess around with translation, I'd just wait until all is said and done. If you do, it seems that Chinese is the better option at the moment with a translator. How long will this beta be open for?

Hi@90 Installing the game is tricky sometimes, you are on the license screen. Hit up arrow on the radio button to accept the terms of the license and then alt + n to go to the next screen. Next, change the path to C instead of D and hit alt + n to advance. This will get you through the tricky part. The setup process is a standard one so the next screens will contain the instalation settings, just advance through them with alt + n then hit alt + i to install the game.

So, I got the game installed and an account created.  However, one thing I notice is that once I connect to the server, I cannot go backward to the main menu that comes up when the game first loads.  There are 4 choices, followed by 9 more, then the last one for what I presume is language.  After switching to English, I'd like to be able to see what the other menu options are, and I don't see how to do that.  If I go all the way to the right, then hit up, it will switch to English.  However, if I then hit the down arrow to back out so that I can see what the other menu items are,, it just reverts back to Chinese.  Am I doing something incorrectly?

I see no "Browse button."  When the program runs, I see just a bunch of Chinese letters, a radio button that says "alt plus D", and another button with Chinese that appears to be the exit button, but no browse.

Yeah traps are consumables. You build them and you can use a trap to catch trimps. There is a "Check traps" on the page, if you click it, you will start trapping and this will consume your traps to catch more trimps. You need to catch trimps because when they fight, they die eventually and you need to replace fallen trimps to full population before you can attack again. Note that if you are not trapping, trimps breed to make new trimps on their own, but it's usually slower than trapping.

Just look at post 110, I explained there how you can check the price of anything, it's currently with tooltips. When it says "Speed miner, 0", it means that you are currently at level 0 of speed mining, basically, that book gives you 25% faster mining and you will get more and more of them and they stack, so the number tells you which level you're at.

So I would do as you suggest and bake the tts voices into my cutscene and have Sable play the file as an event. I'm assuming that you can basically have the game essentially paused when certain triggers are fired? If so, then this would be the best option. I'm not sure as to the copyright issue either, but I am sure that companies would probably become aggressive and pursue litigation if they felt their products were being misused. The individual licenses for such voices are just to be used as that, individual for the needs of the person, and not commercially or public production and the like. It's a gray area to be sure.

Hi,@number 157, thanks for the post. For dialogues for NPC’s you can do this in sable, where the dialog is broken up into smaller sections reading it part by part and pressing enter when ready to hear the next part. You could also set event triggers to fire in between each or certain parts to play a sound or trigger event action too. although this wouldn’t be one big cut scene which plays continuously  without pressing a key to progress the scene,  but your right it would definitely be another way of creating the desired affect the original poster was after ,using existing  Sable features. The obvious solution is to do it like JRPGs have been doing it forever, which is to create a system where you page through your dialog by pressing enter. If a sound had to happen in the middle, Sable could simply play that sound, wait for it to finish, then play the appropriate next dialog. Since you page through it with enter, you only page to the next bit once you've read the current one, that alleviates that concern. I would also recommend having at least one review key to repeat the current page.

@28, I first discovered acapela when I bought voice dream reader for iPhone, and it asked me which voice I'd like for free from them. After previewing several extremely natural sounding voices there, I decided to go look acapela up online. I found their site and also found that they offer a free t15 day trial for their voices with NVDA. This goes for both 22k voices and enhanced. I think the license costs around 120 dollars or so.Anyway, as far as listening to samples, they have a little player somewhere on their site where you can enter text, choose the voice you want it to be read in, then play it. To prevent misuse of the voices though, each sample is underscored by a bit of music. If you want me to find this for you, let me know.

Hi.Wow, this game seems to be extremely amazing.It supports 5.1 surround and DTS as well. Just wow... I hope the issue get fixed where the chosen TTS speed doesn't save. It keeps reading some of the text very fast.I managed to install the game, create an account and log in to check some of the basic stuff.Installing the game can be quite tricky. You have to find the browse button, and change the drive to C instead of D. I wander why it has been set to D as default.Then, the install prompt is just a basic installer. You have to accept the licens agreement. Just listen for the alt commands such as alt N, alt I alt F etc.When the game launches, the intro video starts to play. This is fully translated into English, and it is very well done.When the menu comes up, move all the way to the right as previously explained in this topic, and press the up arrow to confirm, and the menu changes to English.Press alt y to change the speech settings. Press tab until you come to the sliders which can be adjusted by pressing the left or right arrows. Confirm by pressing enter if I'm not mistaken.Registering an account can be a bit tricky. Here is how I did it:1. Click on register account. Not quick register, but register. Remember: Up arrow confirms, and down arrow backs out of sub menus.2. Enter your email.3. Click on send confirm code button.4. Open up the mail to read it. Use word by word navigation to find the section which contains the number you need to enter. If you navigate word by word by pressing control and the right arrow, you can find the number much easier.5. Enter the number.6. Type in your password which needs to be confirmed, and finally choose submit or whatever it is called. I don't remember. If it goes as planned, you have hopefully created your account. Then, you can connect to the server, create your character and start playing the game.It's getting late over here, so I haven't looked much at the game yet. I'll be busy the rest of the week, so I won't be able to play the game before next week. But what I have seen so far is seriously amazing...I hope this post help some of you to get started. I'm sorry for the bad explanations. It is a bit tricky to explain how to get started...

So I want to preface this post by saying  we definitely don’t condone anyone using copyrighted materials of any kind in their games they create , be it sounds, music, characters, stories or anything else. Regarding your point about the use of sappie voices  though, and I don’t claim to be an expert in the laws regarding synth copyright, but wouldn’t any recording say such as a YouTube playthrough of any audio game containing TTS  or any other publicly accessible blind  video with TTS be a breach of that copyright since the TTS is being publicly used? Again, I’m not asking to be a pain , but just wondering  where the difference would be in sappie being used in a video clip on YouTube to sappie being used in a video clip in game? again if this is something that is prohibited by copyright we do not   recommend anyone uses SAPPIE in this way. You mentioned some alternative speech which could be used in this way  though, could you use  pre-recorded jaws or NVDA TTS in a cut scene, or would that also be copyrighted? It’s not something we would use either way in our own games since we would use Sables built in features supplied in the event trigger systems if we ever used TTS in our cut scenes, but I was just asking as I was interested and thought others may be too.@number 155. Thanks for the post. Regarding scripting, we appreciate this is something that some people do want to see, but as stated previously our focus with Sable is a set of tools where every part of the RPG audio game can be created with absolutely no coding or scripting , , allowing anyone regardless of programming knowledge full access to every aspect of creating their very own game. Regarding SAPPIE speech , you are right it is possible to detect when this has finished speaking for the purpose of firing sounds  in game once speech has finished, but the poster was asking about adding SAPPIE to a pre-recorded cut scene, which is different since the cut scene is one big audio file. So say for instance you had a cut scene play with footsteps leading down a corridor  with a door opening and slamming shut,  there is no way of sable knowing when the door slamming sound is since its part of a singular  audio track. So if you say wanted a long bit of spoken TTS which ended speaking  at the point in the track where the door slamming is heard , even if sable had a way of you specifying when the TTS started  although you could calculate when you needed the TTS to start so  it ended at the exact point in the track of the door sound, that calculation would be worked out based on your own TTS speed and someone listening to the cut scene with TTS at double the speed or half the speed would have the TTS  end either too soon or too late. Again, this isn’t an issue for in game sounds, but is a problem with cut scenes  as there is no way of sable detecting  when a certain sound happens within that audio trac,  and because of differing TTS speeds it’s just not possible  to know the point TTS would need to start in order to finish at the exact point in that audio. Of course, I love variety too, that's one reason I'm trying to convince Keeweed to add some crystals to enchant weapons. If we bring back the crown this would add a little bit of overall game content, but not make it too much I think. I just found that the first time I run into the merchant he seems to always have an antidote, and I thought he used to carry a healing potion more often, but really can't be certain. Still not sure if the orc cuffs are totally out or not.I have been getting more monster parts, and I'm not complaining about the life totals, I just wanted to know for certainty's sake.Just like I want to know if an enemy can dodge a hit after the ring of brawn flashes. I'm thinking currently that if you  land three successful hits, the next hit will be a guaranteed double damage guaranteed to strike, but still not 100% sure if it can be dodged or not. I've never seen it dodged, but I'm not sure if it can be.

@ 36 if you don't already know, I think it was ivona, had a voice for  Icelandic.I like some of the vocalizer expressive voices, and the Siri voices, the new ones. I use the Siri American voices on my phone, and occasionally the South African, for whatever reason. One thing with the south African voices is they sound a little too British at times, even though this is the way some of them speak, I wish they would be a little more  diverse.As for computer, I use whatever on both mac and windows, it changes, although I use alex on the mac for the most part. I also think there should be more language dialects. For example in english accents hard to find, southern, African-American, Nigerian, and any other of the multitude of dialects. Espeak has quite a few.

I do remember a similar topic to this one, but I don't mind answering again.My username comes from the fact that I'm a big Ninja Turtles fan, mostly the original series, as well as thinking that turtles are amazing animals in general. The 17 comes from the fact that 17 is my favorite number, but these days, in games and such I usually drop the 17 and just go by turtlepower. It used to be standard practice to have a number after the end of your username,, especially on IM clients like AIM, which is probably why I did that in the first place.

I see both sides of this issue.On the one hand, yes, it would be good to see both things being validated, as it's an immediate clarification that yes, this is official.On the other hand? We are going to jump pretty squarely on anyone who is falsely impersonating a moderator or administrator. Actually, this belongs in the rules (i.e., don't pretend to be anyone you're not or to have rank you don't have). You should safely be able to assume that anyone who shouts "Moderation!" at the start of a post is a moderator or administrator and has the right to do so. You do not have to know a cop is a cop before he calls you out, but he does have to produce his credentials when called upon to do so.

So I got some new a2a aircraft, but I'm having issues. for one, every time I start the plane it sputters for about 5 seconds then bam, the engine dies. I kmow they added some sort of ware and tear system for those particular airplanes but I haven't been able to successfully repair the damned pklane. Apparently from what I got out of OCR the oil is leaking and the right brake is busted.

I click on register in the main menu, enter my email, receive the code and enter it, enter my password, enter it again in the second password box and hit submit registration, but nothing happens, the button seams not clickable for some time, but then goes back to the registration prompt.Greetings Moritz.

I think it's your luck.  I've always had enough of those, and I've been getting more monster parts which has saved my life multiple times.I love the new content.  The more variety the better, especially in a game like this. Whenever I get the cloak of camouflage, I smile because I'm a big fan of adding speed.  Last time though I had to commit suicide due to having too low attack for the giant and all my weapons breaking. Really excited for future updates or what you come up with next.

Also the 1M trap thing takes forever, because you cannot build faster than 10 traps per second (0.1s build time), even if you build at 13M%. I did it but it's long.

Hi.I'm sorry to go off-topic, but I'll just answer the questions regarding my status as a moderatorI'm sorry for the confusion regarding my status as a moderator. Because I have chosen a custom rank status, it have a higher priority than my actual rank status on the forum. I first noticed that after I became a moderator. I have tried to changed that, but the change did not take effect for some weird reason. So I need a moderator to change my rank for this to take effect. I totally agree that my rank shall be changed to moderator, so the forum members can see that. For screen readers, eSpeak and Eloquence are the only once. They can both speak very fast and eSpeak can speak Icelandic, which is my native language. However, for fun, I really like Microsoft Sam, Mike, Mary, especially Sam, Anna and all the other voices, L Truvoice, Mac Alex, Vocalizer voices (these are one of the most natural once), NeoSpeech (some incredibly good voices there, including Julie, one of the most natural text to speech voices today), Ivona, L Michael and Michelle, Softvoice, Orpheus and a few others.Whoever was talking about Vocalizer Daniel not being good, have you tried making him say something rude or violant or using him for playing Psycho Strike? For me it would be convenient if they were marked as buttons so I could get to them faster.For that you don't have to even make them into  elements, but just set role="button" and everything else can change the same. role is an attribute part of the WAI-ARIA suite.as for the issue with JAWS ignoring blank headings. isnt a simple solution to place some text  into them? such as "end of log" and "trimp stats" "enemy stats". I personally wouldnt mind, since the first thing I do when I jump to those headings is just navigate off ofthem immediatly anyway, so it doesnt make it more cluttered for me or anything.

Also, a couple of questions about the new game version. I noticed the belt is now the elvin belt and the elvin cloack is cloack of camaflouge and only boosts speed for dodging, The new buckler, I am assuming is replacing the leather trousers, and I noticed the difference to the knuckle duster. I have not found orc cuffs at all. Are they still a part of the game?Also, is it just my imagination or is it more difficult to buy heal potions from the merchant? Did Death finally get his way. I know he's been complaining about the number of heal potions, he thinks there are too many, but I tend to disagree. Just wondering, is this an actual change, or just my luck?and one last thing. I noticed that if you miss the brawn ring does not charge. It seems to me that after three successful hits, the fourth hit will be doubled. btw did I mention how I like the increased predictability? I've never seen an enemy dodge a charged hit. Is this intentional, or again, just my luck. I like the idea of a guaranteed hit for the warrior, but want to make sure that it is the case, before putting something like that in a guide. I don't want fallen adventurers blaming me for their misfortune.keep killing it

I would like to propose that anyone who accepts a staff position of moderator or higher should have to accept that title so that it may be shown below their name, and must keep that title for as long as they remain a moderator or higher. This has created a bit of confusion on my part in which I was questioning the validity of SLJ's moderatorship, because he did not have the title. Anyone can start a post with Moderation! as the first line, but anyone cannot edit their title.I feel strongly about this, because it is like a police officer walking around with his badge on. When you see that badge, you know that you're dealing with someone with authority. However, let's discount the fact I wouldn't be able to see it for a minute, if someone is yelling for me to stop, I do so, and turn around, and they're not wearing a badge or a uniform, I'm not going to react in the same way. In this case, the moderator title is like the badge, it denotes the post the person in question holds. While detectives might not have to wear a badge at all times, and neither do federal agents, they still do carry badges, and FBI agents don't go around arresting people for speeding or littering.Starting a post with the moderation tag line is like the police officer blowing a whistle or yelling stop, the title is like me seeing the badge pinned to the officer's left breast pocket. I don't know where it is/was, I had it at one point and attempted to work it over, which I did, then lost the revisions I had made. The thing that exists is rather incomplete and inappropriately fires off because the triggers were not written using regular expressions. There is also a lot of unneeded code in the initialization of the pack.

@44 It was rather vague, I do recall it saying something about him stepping up in rank from news poster, but exactly to what rank was not specified, and since I do not know what ranks and how many ranks there are in the staff billet, I was left wondering. Also, this is probably going to be posted in the proposed rules section, but I do not think that should be allowed. If you accept a staff role, you should have to have an appropriate staff title to make it official so that people know.@SLJ Sorry for questioning, I just was unsure about it since the title didn't match and I've never seen another moderator without a mod title.

My name came from playing Slender: Lost Vision some time in 2015. Even though I've never quite beaten it, I still like the game, and when I first discovered it I felt it would be interesting to name myself after The Slenderman, which was indeed what I used initially, though I later shortened it to just Slender, and it's the name I've used in most places ever since, surprisingly it's rarely been taken .

@Valmorian, the achievements are  in categories, with NVdA you can navigate using the keys to navigate around a table, EG alt, control and the arrows. Up and down will take you between categories, left and right will show you achievements, what is locked and what you need to do for the next in line. You will likely have earned at least a couple of achievements fairly quickly, since some are based on things like building your first house and having 100 trimps.As to science, its needed for upgrades. When you look at the mouseover of an upgrade, you'll see the cost lists science along with wood, food metal etc. Generally with science its better to have a few scientists and research yourself, rather than try and get as many workers as possible as with food wood and metal. @aaron77  The wiki does have the perk calculator which recommends builds, but I'm not using that either, since for a start I'm not %100 sure what the boxes mean anyway. That doesn't involve your save file though, just your perk configuration code. There's a lot of other more basic stuff on the wiki though, since Trimps is a complex game, and as long as you just read up on the bits of the game your currently on your likely okay. There are also a couple of new player guides which are good if you take their advice with a graine or two of salt.

@mahdi true the names are arabic, but a name wouldn't be a name if it didn't have a meaning, ali and reza are arabic names, but    alireza is a  combination of them both, and it's an iranian name. ask your arabic teacher the meaning of ali and reza i'm sure he'd tell you the same.

There's actually a screen-reader distribution of a mushpack for Aardwolf if you do a bit of googling.  It's more of an optimization pack with a few sounds to keep you posted of some messages that might get lost in the spam of combat (i.e: channel sounds, onotifications of quests being ready to be taken etc).  There's not really a lot for sounds of combat skills and the like, don't be expecting that from the distribution.  However, the screen-reader version of it gets it easy to setup and log into the mud, as well as playing it and keeping tabs on a bunch of notifications.
