Hi, AHC doesn't work with jaws. You either need to use NVDA or sappy-5, whichever you prefer. Remember, not all games work with jaws and this is one of them.

I don't have a button hold event on the player object. all the directional key hold events are on other objects such as the generator, and others.

God damn it, can't we just be done with TK already. It's quite an aweful game. Take some time and make your own creation. You'll save yourself the hassle of the legal aspect, you'll do something useful and people will respect you for it.Francly, no one is going to give a damn about TK due to it's bad reputation, legal or not. The meer mention of it makes my brain vomit and a smile of pure mirth creeps across my face at how useless some people are.On the topic of game development, my friend is moving away which means I'll have time to learn more python. No TK for you. I'd rather not make a game at all than upload a version using The Killers base code.

No I actually didn't mix up the two.I backed up a windows on a GPT hard disk with UEFI-based motherboard while Secure Boot was enabled.After a while, I tried to restore it on the same machine with the same configurations.It didn't work and I'm just scared to try it again once more.

@28,  like i said, the game is playable and i  purchased it few hours ago.but i did not receive my account fully access, i don't know why.about the sound,  you maybe  look at the same kind of game like starcraft, and reasonmoon, for this theme, or in  audio games, soundrts have  great mod and sounds, and i need control  like 8  kinds  of unit and each kind have about 30, it should be like 250, i do agree that maybe  down some speed, but  sounds is ok, so this is  the point. what about the game is i  suggest a grouping ship and can give a custom name,so you can know your group easier, like name A stands for attack, i can give name A1, A2 and so on, E for explore them E1 and E2, and can use a hotkey like number key to get to each group and use hotkey F to switch the grouping item, it should help.

If you used a Dectalk Express with Keysoft 2.4, you would hear sounds emitted from your system's soundcard. The Dectalk Expresses cannot play wave files under any circumstance due to bandwidth limitations on serial interfaces.

What's even worse than the current broken copyright system and the clear lack of oversight on tts acquisition (especially of old synths) is this even still compatible/potentially usable with modern hardware? As in, could anyone so much as hope to get a proof of concept from them that this has the source and isn't just the dectalk api that interacts with the closed dectalk 4.3 dll.Also, I can confirm that Speech FX, formerly Fonix Corporation, is not using anything Dectalk 4.3 related. They have their own spinoff that is used in Mobile Speak, the Orion TI84+, and other things. You can safely write them off. Now to go see if my Dectalk Express chipset rom could be potentially dumped. I have a firmware diskette, and would love to think it could be doable without opening the unit, but who knows at this point. If dectalk 2.0 could be emulated in Mame then I'm half convinced the Dectalk Express can be as well. Dectalk 4.2 was the best version of Dectalk around.

This is a shame.  This game really could have turned out great, It already has narrated menus, it just needed to be more accessible and help us get to the events. Literally, like 90 to 95% of the menus read, and all that is missing is getting to the events and nothing much else, even online reads.  They made the wrong game accessible I think, darn, really could be awesome.  Hope they add narrated menus to the next game.

Getting to events is pretty much impossible do to the open world nature of the game.even the driving assists don't seem to help int he open world area that much.I wish FM7 had the same narration stuff as that is way more fun to play.

Ok, see it's so good, the designer didn't even know about this. lol.Ok, Daark, I was rereadingthe documentation, and in a section Aaron amended, I found this, which will somewhat answer your rendezvous question in a different way than I did.Shift+A and Ctrl+A are intercompatible from any number of locations, but to a single destination at a time. You may select all ships on one square using Ctrl+A or Shift+A, then add more ships from other locations using shift+A and or ctrl+A. Once you've got all units you want selected, pressing enter at their destination will set them all up to convene there. When setting various ships and fleets to more than one destination, it is necessary to mark the ones for a single destination, then press enter at the destination before marking another set and pressing enter elsewhere.I hope that helps somewhat.  I've been doing it the hard way Take care,Jeremy

Hey Guys,I recently got Forza Horizon 4, and boy is it a Gem.  It is really awesome, and it has a lot of cars.  The game is almost fully narrated on xbox because of game transcriptions, and it is actually a fun game to play, something I would most definitely consider buying.  There is only really one thing that could make the game somewhat bad, and that is that getting to the actuall events is hard.  I wanted to know if anyone else plays Forza Horizon 4 and could tell me what you have figured out about the game and how you possibly could get to the events, because once you get to the actual events, the assists kick in for the races and its really easy to navigate after that.  I really want to play this game more, but I just need some help with the one gaming aspect, everything else is literally basically 99% accessible with the exception of a couple of menus that don't matter in the scheme of things.Thanks.Regards,Shinobi

Ok, I did everything you wrote in your last post Aron. But, if I hit the door. Then, I can move to the left, right, and down but, when I try moving back up towards the door, the player footsteps play, but, the player object doesn't move. For example. If I hit the door, I get knocked back one. I can them move to the left, right and down. so, say I am at coordinates 263, 199. I can then move back down to 184. when I try moving back up to the door, the player stays at 184, but can still freely move as much to the left or right as I want to. I'm not sure what I did here. I copied exactly what you said. I added the same actions to the down pressed event on the door as are on the up pressed event. but, of course changed the SubZ by 1 to AddZ by 1. But, once I've collided with the doorknob, then I can't move forward. Even if I've backed away from the doorknob so I'm not touching it anymore.Edit.So, I don't think my movement issue has anything to do with the door/doorknob objects. I think the latest update to the GDE when player collides with other walking surfaces than the default one set is causing the issue. In version 2.14, I never had this happen to me. I went north and to the right to go into the house from the part I haven't added a wall to. Then I was at coordinates 215, 305. I move back south a few steps to 301, everything is fine here, but, I move one more step south to 300, which is where the house's wood floor starts, and the wood walk sound plays, but, the player doesn't move. The reverse from above happens then. I can move forward, left and right all I want, but, even if I'm not near the house on the x access, I can't move down. Even if I'm at coordinates X25,Z500, or X500,Z500. I can't move backwards. If I hit the house from anywhere with it to my north, I then, can no longer move forward. so, I can then be at coordinates X360,Z100, and I can't go forward on the Z access. If I hit the house from the left or right, I can no longer move left or right respectively on the X access. Man, I really hope all of this makes sense. I'm trying to be as detailed as possible to show you the issue I'm having. This issue happen with the gravel boarder I've got set up around the edges of the map.

Well if so, then those are actually unnecessary to be listed under the "gym" menu too, it would be enough for them to be accessable from "the farm", while the gym could contain only those other, more complex training tools which we must pay for to use.But ok, this is actually an insignificant matter, and who knows, maybe Morokuma has some future plans, changes, modifications regarding those "basic" training types in the gym...Oh, I finally have a strong, and successful enough kittycat to do search adventures with...those are also very interesting, I just loooveee exploring!

Ok, I did everything you wrote in your last post Aron. But, if I hit the door. Then, I can move to the left, right, and down but, when I try moving back up towards the door, the player footsteps play, but, the player object doesn't move. For example. If I hit the door, I get knocked back one. I can them move to the left, right and down. so, say I am at coordinates 263, 199. I can then move back down to 184. when I try moving back up to the door, the player stays at 184, but can still freely move as much to the left or right as I want to. I'm not sure what I did here. I copied exactly what you said. I added the same actions to the down pressed event on the door as are on the up pressed event. but, of course changed the SubZ by 1 to AddZ by 1. But, once I've collided with the doorknob, then I can't move forward. Even if I've backed away from the doorknob so I'm not touching it anymore.Edit.So, I don't think my movement issue has anything to do with the door/doorknob objects. I think the latest update to the GDE when player collides with other walking surfaces than the default one set. I went north and to the right to go into the house from the part I haven't added a wall to. Then I was at coordinates 215, 305. I move back south a few steps to 301, everything is fine here, but, I move one more step south to 300, which is where the house's wood floor starts, and the wood walk sound plays, but, the player doesn't move. The reverse from above happens then. I can move forward, left and right all I want, but, even if I'm not near the house on the x access, I can't move down. Even if I'm at coordinates X25,Z500, or X500,Z500. I can't move backwards. If I hit the house from anywhere with it to my north, I then, can no longer move forward. so, I can then be at coordinates X360,Z100, and I can't go forward on the Z access. If I hit the house from the left or right, I can no longer move left or right respectively on the X access. Man, I really hope all of this makes sense. I'm trying to be as detailed as possible to show you the issue I'm having. This issue happen with the gravel boarder I've got set up around the edges of the map.

The thing is pretty simple: As soon as you switch from Legacy BIOS to UEFI boot mode, you cannot use any Legacy BIOS Windows version anymore, due to fundamental changes (UEFI requires GPT-partitioned hard drives, whereas Legacy BIOS requires MBR and so forth). Drive Snapshot should work fine now to back up an UEFI system and restore it back to a UEFI system. Just mixing between both (restoring Legacy BIOS to UEFI or UEFI to Legacy BIOS) cannot work.That said, Macrium Reflect is accessible and can deffinitely do what you want, even more than that, but I'm not sure about the features available in free mode, since I purchased the Home version earlier. Hmm ...the volcano at the east of the map? You mean to the east of the second town where the bandits are?I see red lizards and fire crows but they don't at all drop fire spirits, just red lizard skins for the lizard and nothing for the ...raven or crow.As for English, you don't need to upload the helpfiles, you can just read them in notepad++ or so with the translate addon enabled. Easier that way.

I'd like to fill in a few things since I took time to research and speak to several people.Silak purchased the right to TK from Ivan. However, in there was an agreement that if a version of TK was released, it would be the version that Silak had rights to, and not an unauthorized version. Connor was never given permission to release his own version, and the fact that Silak supposedly did some work on it does not make that okay according to the terms of the agreement him and Ivan made.I welcome Ivan's input here as it would help clear up a few things.

Once someone joins you, go to the system menu and choose the first party member, then the second, then the third. If Person is the only character you can use, then you can't change your party yet. Did you get to the Shrine Of Earth? Soon after you leave Basic Step, Anastacia will join you. And yes, you'll only have Person and Anastacia to use until you get to after the undersea temple.

Lag with my new bluetooth headphones and NVDA.

Hello.I ordered some new bluetooth over ear headphones yesterday and they arrived today.I had bose but they lagged or stuttered (I'm not sure what the actual term is,) way to much and after putting up with them for a year or so, I decided to get something new.These headphones are way way cheaper than boses over ear sound canceling bluetooth headphones at £26 and honestly aren't bad at all.The only downside is that I've noticed some lag when using my screen reader but it doesn't seam to happen when audio is playing and I hope it doesn't start now I've mentioned it.My mind is honestly blown that I can go into the garden, 3 floors below me and have the headphones work perfectly where as with the bose ones, if you even moved your head a little they'd stutter.If anyone could help with the screen reader issue, or explain it to me, I'd be very grateful.

So, I only made it to post 42, but these are my thoughts.First, the NFB has come across since I was made aware of them as kind of the big brother of the blind community, "don't use our canes? There's something wrong with you. This works for everyone your technique that you have been using for years is wrong."Second is as was stated their eager rush to litigation. Who knows they may have tried everything else first, but the only emails I get from them are lawsuits, which I only ever joined a mailing list for young professionals.Alright time to veer off topic. Blind people in my opinion, should not have conceal carry. Should we be able to own guns, yes, could I fight off a home invasion with a gun, you bet, but would I trust myself to use it in an active shooter situation, hell no.Second, sitting on exit rows of airplanes. I don't see the issue, the flight attendants give the spiel about how to open them in their safety talk, and do you really think sighted people could read it if it is smokey in the cabbin? In some instances, I think having someone who does not rely on sight would be a wiser choice as we do not rely on visual orientation and are less likely to get turned around in a confined environment.

The other thing is that calling them sleep shades may make it sound more palatable, but actually, it's pretty stupid to associate a training tool with rest. I doubt the experiences you have there are anything but relaxing and restorative.

If nobody has done it by this Thursday, I can throw a quick demo together and put it in dropbox.Dark, I had suggested adding some sort of comment system in order to remember what your fleets were doing, but as I played and they added more features, I found it became a lot less necessary. With my playstyle, I may have a thousand ships on the board, but they are combined into maybe at most four massive fleets. Jeremy uses much smaller faster-moving fleets but a lot more, but still probably no more than three or four objectives at a time, and less if we can get away with it. Still, autopilot is amazing, and I will set a fleet then forget about it until it either disbands or gets where it is going, both of which notify me at the resolution phase of the round.

Hi,There is a position noone here has touched upon here regarding blindfolds.  Depriving a sense for an extended amount of time can actually cause structural damage to the brain, as the brain reorginizes itself to cope with the sense which isn't present. An hour or so wouldn't do much, but presumably  as the training is very long each day, over six hours, those with stable vision could actually get perminently damaged by wearing the blindfolds. After graduating, they might not be able to  utilize it the way they previously could.

Also at various places in your project you havent got the same amount of condition end actions as you have condition begins. This can cause all sorted of problems. Make sure you close you conditions. or it messes the skip counter up that tells it how many actions to ignore.

Ok, let me respond to a few of the issues.  Although, Michael it looks like has been doing my job for me.SLJ:I know this isn't the same thing as what you're asking, but you can modify how quickly the voice pauses between words in the settings menu. Perhaps not 100% helpful, but I find that once I set the voice settings differently from the default settings, I like them better.    As to the messages, the most important ones can be reviewed with the d hot key in movement phase.  This will tell you ship detections, hazards your ships hit last round, planets the enemy has colonized that you possessed, and a few other items.Unfortunately, creating a review of each item command would slow the game down a lot in a big game. We had a text log being created for beta testing purposes, and the performance did go down significantly with that activated.  That said, it's something we'd be willing to implement again if enough customers want  it, and we could probably arrange an option to use it or not in settings.Dark:It is a learning curve.  It took our testers a month or so to get the hang of it, though they didn't have all the tools in the final version of the game.  Michael's suggestions about fleet scatter are useful as his suggestions about v and shift v.  As to ships awaiting orders.The system I use for this is to group ships for different purposes, and this is actually partialy how the AI handles things.  So for instance, I might group ships on a planet to a fleet, use that fleet as a defense fleet.  The next ships I buy on that planet, I group together as a fleet to go colonize the next planet over. So on and so forth.  It isn't perhaps as elegant as your o shift o idea, but again, in a long game you can run into thousands of ships on the board.  A lot of the logging/saving information things are the best compromise we found between performance, playability  and smoothe operation.As to the sound scape issues: I strongly encourage anyone who wants a larger sound scape to play a game of eks set on the highest difficulty they can manage, then to play it on military victory condition only, and defensive mode for the AI.  I think this will illustrate why we didn't go this route in the best way.  Colonization sounds could be added, and wouldn't be a big deal.  However, explosions or other things at the end of battles or when fleets are disbanded can be very annoying.  If you've ever had 100 destroyers scattered by a hazard then had to wait through dozens of reports of what happens to them and where they end up, along with the hazard noises that inevitably accompany this, then you will understand.  We're not opposed to adding more sounds, but we consciously avoided this for the player's benefit, not to deny you an audio game. In answer to your rendezvous question there's no way to tell multiple ships all over the board where to go currently.  However, if you have say three ships close to each other, you can use shift a or control to make them all go to the same place, fleet them up, gather up the next set, etc.  Shift a allows you to choose a destination then hit enter at the destination making a selected ship or fleet go directly there.  Control a allows all ships in the square to go to the same location using the same format control a then enter on the destination.  Your lightning game looked good.  Lightning game made a good demo mode for  the game, but it is not indicative of how the whole game plays in the way I would have preferred.  However, it avoids giving you a good start on a game, then stopping and saying neener neener buy the game, which is also annoying.We are listening guys, and we are discussing the issues brought up.As to GDG issues, I"m not sure what that could be other than your Windows Defender messing with the Guidedog client.  I hate to suggest it, cause you're already having so many issues, but you might try downloading the client again, reinstalling, and putting it in with your audiogames and see if that fixes the   issues.  Annoying, but I personally don't have a clue beyond that.  Course, I"m not the computer savvy part of this team.Thanks again folks, we appreciate all the feedback negative and positive, and we like that people are taking an interest.  I hope a few people try buying it and see the fuller game experience. I might play through a game and post stats and highlights here.  Also, if any ambitious users do buy the game and want to post a video of the play, it might be very useful to others.  As I said in the tips and tricks section in the documentation, you don't need all the hot keys, but a number of them are useful, and learning those dozen or score are really helpful.Jeremy

I use this variable to stop the next part of the code firing, as the next section checks that it is false.Line 6 closes the condition section checking if the if the door is closed.Line 7 then checks if the local variable called "State" is set to Open on the doorLine 8 then checks if the "State Has Changed" variable is not set to True (essentially checking if we have just changed the State to Open, if this wasnt here the door would set itself to open and then straight back to closed again.)7Line 9 then sets the Door State to ClosedLine 10, 11 and 12 then close the remaing open conditions including the Player collision condtion than all actions except line 1 are in.I havent tested the code but its pretty simple so hopefully it should work. The proprietary nature of these kinds of things usually causes fist fights. The short answer is what @2 said. When you are the only one that specializes in or maintains access to something, you hold the ability to charge whatever price you wish to in order for others to be granted access. Is it right? That's for everyone to decide on their own. It is precisely the concept of competition that keeps prices down, and why monopolies are illegal; however, there isn't stopping anybody from specializing in synthetic speech. As much as we'd like for these things to be more accessible in the sense it's more affordable, we have no choice because there's only one top dog that specializes in the product they offer (in this case, DecTalk, not synthetic voices generally speaking). I'll reserve my opinions but thought I'd offer at least reasoning behind it.

Aaron here.For Dark, have you been launching the games using the shortcuts, or via the launch what ever.exe file? E.g. Launch_eks.exe? The launcher is what starts Guidedog Client. You may run ExpandingKnownSpace.exe directly but if Guidedog isn't running it won't be able to access it. You should be able to sign in during or shortly after the game if it is behaving as intended, but you would receive a notification about that. Your stats show up as a Lightning Game, so I wonder did you pick that manually, or did you have to hit escape on the activation screen and skip all the way past that process.Oh, on second thought, thee escape to continue thing would be the same if you haven't purchased yet, and so not so obvious.Sorry, I haven't woke up properly today.Lastly, the last line of your stats are all 0's because it was unable to save the win or loss to the account, as you explained.As for your suggestions, some good ones here. We'll definitely consider these, especially since some of this was already on the road map but we had to side line them or else we wouldn't ever get this crazy thing out. Fleet scattering is definitely a, well, you know what lol. The battleship will help prevent that in most but not all cases. The hazard that caused it will be reported in detections review menu, so the d hotkey will probably list it and you may press enter there to visit the location where it happened. Ideally, the scattered ships are nearby, but if they spread out all across known space, as Jeremy said, your sensor net just got grown, may as well either write them off or plan something different for them.Thanks for your interest!

well I wrote to this Rodger Dudly guy at speech-fx, the company that now owns decTalk. and guess what? they want at least $9000 to $15000 or more, united states dollars, just to license an sdk to make some application that uses the decTalk voices. even though the decTalk they are using is based on decTalk 4.3 for windows95! How can they justify such high prices? especially when some anonymous people put up decTalk stuff for free? I bet even ESpeak is loosely-based on decTalk code and stuff. Trying to convince me I need to buy a $9000 or more software development kit is just crazy!

Most of the time, when a fleet scatters, they scatter to the nearest compass points around whatever they hit. At that point, once you have found one, you have found them all through the uses of the n key.If they scatter all across known space, it's honestly just easier to write off the fleet, use whatever detections you got and maybe if you're lucky you will grab a few and get them to a safe port. Also make use of your capital ships when you can!The easiest way I have found to do things is to jump through all your colonies with K and Shift K, make sure all your ships are fleeted up, or at least, if they are not, they are waiting to be, and use of V to see if that unit has any orders, or shift V on a location to see if anything has autopilot set to that location.Shift V is really useful when fleet 108 gets disbanded, but you don't remember which fleet 108 was, so just check all the places which you had fleets going to with shift V.Example:Fleet 108 gets disbanded. Me, being the forgetful person have three current objectives. One, fleet headed to Wevoca, one headed to Gehenna, and one to Bolivar. I know my fleet to bolivar is fine because it is massive and will be held together if it comes across a hazard. My other two though it could be different because they were colonization fleets and not quite so robust, so I go to Wevoca hit shift V, nope, fleet 105 is still on course, so it must be Gehenna. So I go to Gehenna, then start walking my view around the map until I get to wherever I launched from and find my missing fleet.Alternatively, if you are feeling ambitious, if you knew the composition of the fleet, cycle through with y, to a type of ship, colony ship for instance, and then go through with S since that will only focus on unfleeted colony ships.Spoilers again maybe:Ships only move north south east or west. You will not move on slopes, or northeast, northwest southeast southwest. Plan accordingly.

VDrumLib for Electronic drummers

Hey guys, wanted to share some experience with you guys regarding a program called VDrumLib, which is a V-Drum Librarian so to speak for most Roland modules, except the TD-25, TD-17, and TD-50.  I just successfully used it to vex my TD-12 which is my backup module.    It requires some OCR and you're not completely accessible even then, but some of the features are accessible that matter like sending and receiving kit information to your module via midi/usb which works out nicely because for the TD-12, you don't have to menu dive to do anything.  It's all done by the computer.  I'm hoping we can make this a sibiac add-on to be accessible for other E-drummers that use just about any other Roland module.    to learn more about it, check out www.vexpressionsltd.com and you'll find information on vex packs, samples of what your kit will sound like after it's vexed with the specific pack, and more info on VDrumLib.   Hope this is helpful to some people.   My TD-50 is vex'ed but since I know how to navigate the menus on it, I can use an SD card to do all my work with it.  I also have menu guides on the TD-12 and TD-50 done to some degree enough to navigate the things that matter for the most part.
