For the first map I mostly just let most of the units do their own thing on the AI while only controlling some of the more useful ones.Dark, you should try den of the slave lords, also by the same person. How would a person know where to click agree.Also just because someone has told the blind person that the game is accessible don't mean they have told them how to set the game up. I have seen this before where a sighted person told me about something being accessible.But didn't tell me how to set it up nor knew how to.

@9, i didnt mean for notch to remake minecraft. I meant if it was adapted for the blind either by one of our blind devs or a sighted dev like aprone or someone of those guys. It's pretty cool to listen to these honestly, I've played WWE 2k17 and got pretty much nowhere. Almost any sort of useful sound feedback is either gone from the game or drowned out by croud which I don't believe you can get rid of. I'm also a total scrub when it comes to the WWE universe, so having next to no idea what I was doing probably didn't help either. lol

If the stories are too difficult, could we have a list of achievements, similar to Super Egg Hunt?This would be a matter of adding an option to the main menu for achievements, adding a line to the copy text at the end of the game (or it could be another dialogue), and adding a line to check if the player has the achievement, and if not, give it to them.The most difficult part would be to actually place the achievments and create them.I'm thinking one for each mission, then some for defeating difficulty levels on a mission, then after these are added, there could be more complexity, like defeating the hardest mode 4 times, or playing 30 fast modes.

BTW, Web is the best platform to interface with all types of screen readers, so web text to speech is not needed. I would say that any new content needs to go into an aria live region. I believe if all the content is in one region, it will only say the new content. This will allow screen reader users to hear what happens in the scene when it happens, rather than needing to check the whole screen to see what changed.Also, if there was a role of link or button on elements that have actions, that would also really help.If there was a heading separating new and old content, that would also be amazing.

No current plans to update the Alexa game, because the codebase is quite different, but you never know.Sleepless Inc. isn't really in the game development business anymore, so right now, this is just an experiment and doesn't make any money.  As such, there's a limit to how much effort I can put into it.  If anyone has suggestions on how it might be able to generate some income please let me know.  For example, what would have to happen to make people willing to spend a few bucks for a new chapter?  Are the levels a bit dull?  Melee too boring or repetitive?  Absent the game generating at least a trickle of revenue, I can only work on it a little at a time.I'm open to letting others use the editor to make new content, so should anyone want to do so, let me know.Thanks again everyone.j.h.

Still, I definitely think that there's room for both of these to co-exist, because sword has enough going for it to be a unique experience. I can confirm that sword works fine with chrome on android. sort of. I use NVDA with it for producing quick, bland, generic demos and printing out lead sheets quick too. But nothing else aside that. Realtracks... meh, you have to install cd upon cd upon cd and that can take lots and lots of hard drive space. I would rather have that in samples and use reaper with them. It does help for creation of quick generic backing tracks though.Choruses are just how many ways an entire song is repeated. You configure them by using the song properties dialog or typing chorusend or chorusbegin and pressing enter on the bar you want the chorus to start or end. The number of choruses is only via that dialog though.Style variations. There are two ways... I think you insert a part marker by using b on the bar you want, or open up the specific settings for that bar but I forget the key command to do it.not sure what flips are, or what finishes on chords are... so can't helps with that

I think that the launch condition of "defenseless mind" is severe. The only way to actively reduce "special defense" to -4 or less is to give a serious curse.Decks that use this card are biased towards the ghost, psychic, or fairy types that make heavy use of the special attack, so it is unlikely that the enemy will use rush in, magical explosion, or cocoon themselves.At the same time, I think that the advantages of "utterly enchanted" that assume severe conditions are small. If you are giving the enemy a serious curse, you should give priority to "blasted shock".

In card battle, if I hit "shift + enter" and attack my teammate offensive, I would like the reaction that the teammate owns to be activated.Because once, the main purpose of attacking teammates was to start bleeding or magic flower. For example, attacking teammates with "bubble" or "giggle" was useful as support.Now that cards like "prot" can be targeted to teammates without conditions, I think that there are no other purposes for using "shift + enter".

Hi,I know it's bit ot here, but @8: where did you get stuck on maps? Maps aren't hard to make at all, of course, you must know classes and arrays first, work with files is good too. But the rest is quite simple until you want some extra wild shapes.Only problems I had with maps were in Blindcraft, where it was required to handle really big arrays in realtime when player was moving to reload border chunks, what included selecting which to save, serializing them, compressing and actual saving and a reversed operation for loading newones. It wouldn't be probably a problem today, but in that times, with my knowledge about C++, there were very unpleasant lags. But I managed to resolve it. I've used 4 cores instead of 1 to speed it up, made some optimalizations and lowered the time to acceptable value.I can give you some example codes if you want, i was teaching one guy this things some time ago, may be I still have it somewhere.Of course new topic would be good for it, so we don't spam thisone. I'll take a crack at some of these.I'm a professional software developer. I've done freelance for years, mostly accessibility/access tech related, though I've had a couple general web development gigs. I don't know if your definition of full-time is 40 hours/week, but I think that's kind of a ridiculous metric as long as you do the work that needs doing without burning yourself out. I do about 15/week now, though that's mainly due to being fairly strict on how much I'm willing to compromise my rates, and even then I'm probably a bit too generous. But even with a compelling rate, I'd probably max out at 30-35 hours/week, saving at least one weekday for creative or personal projects.Are you working for a company? Yes and no. Essentially freelance, but I just took the step of creating an LLC, electing S corp tax status, setting up payroll, and putting myself on it. Huge pain in the ass, but it's given me a different perspective when I'm negotiating rates with clients. My overhead is much more front-and-center this way, and rates that seemed exorbitant don't seem nearly as high now that I'm on the hook for quarterly tax payments, employer taxes, etc. The numbers are probably fairly close to what they were as a sole prop, but with them due regularly, I don't feel nearly as bad about charging more.What area of development does your work focus on? Pretty much full-stack, though I kick visual web design tasks onto other folks. My current gig has me dabbling in Kubernetes, a Hasura GraphQL API, a Vue frontend, a Kotlin backend, and all the glue/supporting tech needed to keep the whole herd of cats moving in roughly the same direction. That's another reason I try sticking to 15 or so hours per week, because after a few hours of that much context-switching, my brain wants to drip out of my ears. Today I just debugged an Auth0 issue where it turned out their developer documentation was almost certainly wrong. I'll be smoking a huge bowl after today's workout, that's for sure.Is their in-house software accessible? Since I run this company of 1, I can categorically state that software to run a business is not at all accessible. I use Quickbooks Online to manage my finances, and basically just paid an accountant to set things up for me. Fortunately, most of it can be automated, and their form e-filing support saves me from having to submit paper, so accessibility-wise it's probably barely a net gain. I haven't found an accessible contract-signing service that works from the initiator side since docracy.com sold out to Eversign. If I'm ever fortunate enough to hire a team, or if my client ever becomes a company that can hire me personally, I know Slack isn't accessible as a groupchat solution. GitLab issues work well enough for tracking organizational work, but if we ever need project management beyond something like that, I'm not sure what we'll use. The whole thing is kind of exhausting, and contributes further to the brainmelt.What made you choose to work for that company? For myself, the fact that I'm not chasing interviews, that I have some freedom in what I do. That I'm not stuck working an 8-hour day is also a plus, as is the fact that I don't have to commute, or to fight with whatever inaccessible collaboration tools some remote company uses. I keep hoping to pick audio game development back up, but haven't found the sweet spot between the demands of $dayjob and the creativity something like game development requires. Still, though, it's distinctly more possible working for myself than it'd be were I stuck in a cube.What did you major in college? English, with computer science and business minors. But college was two decades ago, so it doesn't really matter quite as much anymore.

the letter is supposed to be in the writing desk ... perhaps you've already collected it and didnt notice? Do you remember what the armorer said about equipment? The stronger you are, the less equipment slows you down. SO just allocate  points to his strength stat until the equipment weight doesn't matter anymore. Or do the haunted by the past to get a quest bonus of strength.

Hi everyone!  I can post now, so thank you Administrators.  So my name is Joe Hitchens.  I create the Swords game.  I will try to answer a few of your questions about it."Angry Dragon" is indeed the first of what I'm calling "chapters" in a hopefully longer saga.  "Bog Beast" is the second chapter.  Those are the only two so far.Yes, there are other modules in the list, and yes, they're really just test modules.  And yes, I should make them invisible to avoid confusion.  I'll do that.Regarding the idea of carrying loot and attributes across the chapters.  There are a lot of issues with this, but I do intend to have "something" carry across the chapters to tie them together.  But it may be limited.  I also have to figure out how to do it as I'd like to let the player go back through previously played chapters (for top secret reasons).  So that's something I have to work out.My intent was to make each chapter rather small, and short; Something you could play within the space of 30 to 60 minutes ... just a little fun thing to do when you're bored.  It would be an epic story/adventure, but it would be broken up into many very small chunks of game play and not heavily dependent on each other.Regarding voice/sounds: The voice option enables the speaking of the output for you.  It does not allow you to speak the commands.  HOWEVER!  There is an Alexa version of this game that does!  The Alexa version was actually created first and includes only "Angry Dragon".  If you have an Alexa say, "Alexa, open the Swords game" and you should be able to play it with your voice.  The web based version is unlikely to have voice input anytime soon though.Regarding iOS Safari, I didn't test that, so I don't know how well it will work.  In fact, it's only been tested in Chrome on a Mac.  It "should" work in any desktop version of Chrome or Firefox.  It might work in other desktop browsers or in in browsers on mobile devices, but can't guarantee it.Regarding comparisons to other games.  I don't know what Eamon is.  I know generally what MUDs are, but haven't really played any.Regarding commands.  You can type in the full verbs like "inventory", but there are some common abbreviations that work, but not all the verbs have abbreviations.  "I" for inventory should work, as well as N, S, E, W.  I think "x" is short for "study" (examine).  Perhaps "t" for take.  The abbreviations are all one letter, so just try them out until I can include the list in the instructions.  You can shorten the noun to just the general portion in most cases, if it wouldn't be ambiguous.  For example, if there is a red potion in your inventory and no other potions, you can enter "quaff potion"  and leave off the "red".I believe you can "study" bad guys without them attacking you.You do currently lose your loot when you play a new chapter, but again (as above) I hope to have at least sort of carry-over.  One of the main issues is that in order to carry items across chapters, those items would have to balanced in terms of game play across the whole saga.  For example, a magic sword that is crazy powerful works okay in Angry Dragon, but if I carry that over to the next chapter then does that make me super-powerful and able to murder everything in sight right from the start?  Or do I somehow increase the power of all the creatures on subsequent chapters to take that into account?  What if the player doesn't happen to have found that sword in the first chapter?  Then they'd be way too weak.  So, although I want some continuity across chapters, I still want to preserve the ability to have each chapter be a very small, self-contained little adventure unto itself.  It's a work in progress.  Ideas are welcome.Yeah, it just keeps saying Game Over at the end.  All you can do is Reset or New Game.  It's lame.  I'll try to improve on the UI there.Hope that answers some questions.  I purposely wanted the game playable with your eyes shut (if you're sighted), hence the abbreviations and the voice.  I did this mainly because I wanted the player to user their imagination rather than include graphics in the game.  It's sort of as an experiment.  It actually didn't occur to me that it would be a good game for unsighted folks, but I'm glad it is, and would like to do what I can to make it as accessible as possible, so please give me pointers on how I can do that better.I appreciate you all having a look and asking questions.  I may not be able to check this forum often.  I'm more likely to be looking at the itch.io comments.  An even more direct channel to me would be to email swo...@sleepless.com or cont...@sleepless.com.  Please don't hesitate to give me feedback and suggestions.Thanks everyone.j.h.

I have this problem with the built in windows vpn for some weird ass reason, but have never has that kind of issue with add blocker. I am using the android version though. Maybe try a different add blocker, see if you get the same result.

Ijust gave a try on my old s7 edge, very slow, but does not snap back.It is runing 8.0 though and it is the phone that my grandma uses, so I had to wait ages to load any pages lol.My a5 is much, much faster than that.And yeah, I also tried games on it and it has that game tools thing, so they are not playable.And for some reason, on my a5 I can not disable that and I am not rooting this one, I have older phones for a reason.

Hello people.I'm trying out Band in a Box and the program is just amazing. I'm using version 2018 with the jaws scripts for version 2017 and as far as I've been able to move, everything seems to be ok although I still have some questions:1. How to put flips and style variations at a certain point in the song?2. When transitioning from one chord to another, how to apply a finish?3. How does chorus work? I read the program's help talking about it, but I still don't quite understand it in practice.Any other tips that you think are relevant and want to share, I will be very grateful.Thank you

Thanks for that.The latest officially is a 2017 version, I found a 2018 version on the website but I may try to make a cast on blindvms for this since there are 7 posts on this.Has anyone had success with installing a desktop on there like mate and have they managed to run it accessibly and have they managed to run both a command line and desktop when switching about.I'd like the ability to switch from command line to desktop and then see what happens.

I am currently on the MUD as Zersiax and would be happy to teach new players. I think that honestly, the best guide of sorts that would take everything into acocunt is to make a log of a duel where an experienced player explains the rules to a new player. That would take various duels to go through all the summon mechanics and such, but I think that would be doable. Is that something someone here would like to create with me?Zersiax

I tried to duel, i managed to put down a few land cards. I don't know about the issues you're saying, but so far the dev has confirmed that the keyboard navigation is broken and we can't tab onto cards.I think we should see that fix before finding out if the cards are properly labeled or not.I wish you or someone  opened an issue earlier. i feel like if we don't get a contributor from our side it might take months before fixes are made and get pushed to the main branch.
